I was looking for this comment. Yes, the "big switch" is a big lie. My biggest indicator is KKK Grand Master Robert Byrd of West Virginia. Hillary, Biden, and yes even Obama loved that man. They idolized Robert Byrd. The big switch is big propaganda.

It's a matter of public record that it DID happen. Most of the pro-segregation Southern Democrats defected en masse to the Republicans, while most of the anti-segregation Northern and Western Republicans switched to the Democrats. You don't have to pretend it didn't happen to justify being a conservative or voting Republican today. Not one of those guys is still alive, and the Republican Party platform of today is completely unrecognizable from what it was in the '60s.

When I was in school in fifth grade, they taught us this. They no longer teach history in classrooms anymore. This year my son came to me and asked me that what is Fourth of July about they don’t teach any history anymore. They’re teaching our children to heat our country it’s interesting how they are getting away with this.

I grew up thinking everybody knew history and had books about it in their homes. We didn't have a lot but we had a set of encyclopedias, two bibles and some books on history. Today, I can't believe the amount of college graduates that don't even know basic history about their own country. No wonder everybody is so confused.

Willful ignorance, even though with the internet anyone has access to the sum total of human knowledge elementary school children swallow any statement made by a teacher with rainbow hair, the history of the world is very complex, these teachers make up a tale that They count to indoctrinate young people, they alter or omit the facts that do not correspond to their ideology and move on.

And no, I didn't study history or American civilization. And yet Americans can't even know THEIR own basics.... That's really scary. The Democratic party never gave up its ambitions of black slavery, it simply found more sophisticated ways to achieve the same objective. When you consider the kind of support they receive FROM the black community WHILE ravaging said community, for decades, with intentionally failing policies... I'd say that's "Mission Accomplished!" Of course, the black community itself isn't without blame. Who fervently honors their own villainous captors*? Mental slavery is the most potent kind! *[Edited typo]

Mental enslavement to their own hate and resentment. Too many blacks would rather vote for free stuff and to try to stick it to the white man, rather than voting for people who want to treat people like individuals. The fact that the media helps the Dems by selling the idea that all Repubs are racist only makes it easier for them to vote that way; they don't have to bother actually looking into it, because "everyone knows that's how they are."

Essentially, democrats couldn’t stop blacks from voting anymore so they decided if they’re going to vote, we’re at least going to make sure they vote for us. This is what LBJ was referring to with his “I’ll have them…voting Democrat for the next 200 years.”

Everything in it is gross exaggeration, written by journalists that wanted to make the story more dramatic to sell more newspapers tomorrow, heavily biased toward the side that won in a conflict. Think about what is going on right now with silencing, cancelling, censorship how will current events be recorded and retold later? Will it be an accurate reflection of events or will it be switched?

Granted whats also basic American history is that the modern incarnations of the two parties are the result of a political switch that happened in the 1960s. But this history has now become a talking point and the whole "the democrats are actually the real racist party" has taken precedent and the political switch of the two parties is glossed over or ignored completely in favor of narrative.

They're also dividing us regarding genders, abortion, war in that one place, homelessness and of course the border people used as pawns and exploited to pick fruit, vegetables , nannies, maids and landscapers during hot weather and I have seen the buses parked at large store parking lots being filled up with these young men to take them to the fields. But now states are sending them all over so you can scrutinize how it's being handled but that's after a warm welcome letting them stay in 5 star hotels in New York and ordering room service. Or taking them to a place in Chicago with round the clock security. They receive a check and free medical care . And then the judges complain they don't show up to court for legal status. Just stop the free check's they'll show up to court. Buying future votes but not from the men (I don't have statistics) but seeing them in the bus on a hot day tells me there never voting. The women will get the checks and food stamps and do the voting. Also, actually heard they will not be charged with crimes...by Har r is herself. The news will say this is lies but it's not. The Dems want to divide. A few journalist have reported on these types of news stories but only a few.

I'm afraid it isn't just our government doing this. China and certain other anti Western agents are feeding the "divide and conquer" Marxist ideologies that are infiltrating society within the U.S. and in European countries. There's a reason the democrat party has moved further and further left and more anarchistic and destructive to foundational American institutions. Why slavery and racism and all the rest are being brought into the discussions and hyped by the media. This is much bigger than two political parties who can't agree.

Hey Van, The "Switch" was the Democrats going to social safety nets and dropping support for the southern segregationist and businesses. The Republicans didn't back Segregation but supported business. This was seen as support for low-wage work and abuse of workers' rights. Unfortunately, this led to an attitude of "why work" for many Americans regardless of race, age, and gender. The Republicans believed and still mostly do that work is the path to equity, prosperity, and ultimately freedom in one's life. I'm a conservative and since there aren't any conservative elected officials or leaders in the DNC, I'm an RNC voter. 🤔😎

No switch but there is tons of merging and adapting. I don’t like the argument using the distant past, though the history is definitely interesting. The parties are unrecognizable today compared to then. To me the biggest difference in party affiliation today is whether or not you trust the establishment and support the status quo. Many republicans I have met are actually socialists, and love the new rights lack of ties to corporations. I think Trump threw the biggest wrench into the duopoly since the 1960s. Now we need a new left.

FDR is one of the worst presidents in history. The democrat that wanted to expand government control, and tanked the economy into the great depression and absurd taxes. Without the war, he would've probably never stayed in office. Let that sink in, he wanted to stay neutral while millions were slaughtered. Not a fan of the Js, but the Germans was wiping out the Js, and FDR did nothing to help them. He instead sold materials to the Germans. Yet the Js are so heavily democrat supporters, not remember that FDR left 6 million to perish. Guess who owns those controversial Newport mansions in Rhode Island during the 1600s? The Js. I live in RI, that history has been covered up. The Js were the richest people in the 1600s for one reason, those ships coming from western Africa. Liberals for you. Kanye is right. If I'm part of the book party, and I disagree with what the tv party says, why would I agree to either stay with a party that flips to the other party's ideals, or simply flips the party name? I wouldn't. It makes no sense.

Reality, in 68 there was a 3rd party Wallace winning the deep south, and Nixon won the mid South because of his stance on Vietnam, law and order, and Pro-life. So where white racism was prevalent, Republicans didn't win.

The southern democrats never stopped voting democrat. Maybe in the 2000s. The southern vote was steadily moving towards anti-segregationist republicans and in the 1960s the democrats were only winning by slight margins. In the 1970s the republicans starting winning despite the racist democrats still sticking with the democrats. There was never a switch. At the time of the civil rights movement, there was only one single southern democrat, Strom Thurmond, who switched to the Republican Party and that was because he admitted he stopped believing in white supremacy. Every other southern democrat who voted against civil rights stayed in the democrat party until their deaths decades later, including some of Biden’s and Obama’s friends.

Well, it is fairly easy to lie to people and have them deny history. It's been done repeatedly. Just look at the Texas school books describing slavery as simple voluntary immigration. You can see a switch in the Republican parties efforts for the common man from their platforms from 1930's to 1990's. Don't even have to look at the Democrats. The Dixiecrat's didn't stay in the party for the most part, unless they stayed for sabotage.
