Autism is generally characterized by social and communication difficulties and by repetitive behaviors, called stemming... wringing hands, rocking back and forth, humming, etc They have difficulty understanding body language or the feelings of others. Many also have difficulty controlling their emotions. They can not read facial expressions, so carrying on a conversation is very hard for them to do. Many can not make eye contact, and can not handle someone touching them. They can have overly active sensory, their senses can overload at any time.

Idk. Both of my kids are on the spectrum. And just from what I've seem with them, I can understand how he could be. But at the same time, i see things that show me he is just an unmedicated liberal. His refusal to listen to outside influences when he has pinpointed a subject rings true with the spectrum. But his instant realization that he was wrong (or that he was caught trying being deception) is not something I've seen in my children. They normally take a second to recalculate the situation, he did not. I do not want to speak in sith terms. But he just seems like a crazy person/liberal that has never felt any actual struggle in his life. This might have been the first time that he ever had someone challenge him in any way.

You are able to take these very intricate theories and arguments and make them relatable to those who may not understand what is being said. You are helping more people than you will ever know and that is a great gift. I applaud your journey for truth and understanding. I hope it inspires many to follow in your footsteps! @@guardiansoulblade2673 Yep. It’s the same thing as people with clinical depression or other mental illnesses threatening people with suicide if they don’t act a certain way. If we commit suicide it was our choice. Our life may have been made more difficult by other people, but that’s the solution we chose to get past those issues. It’s us deciding that fighting to stay alive and make something of ourselves is too difficult and it’s better to leave a void and a possible chain reaction than to keep fighting. It’s the ultimate selfish choice made out of pure desperation and misery. Weaponizing that is not okay. It takes 5 to 10 times the amount of energy and effort to get anything done than it did before I started being affected by my depression, but it’s not an excuse. If nothing else I can exert myself to do the bare minimum, so my issues don’t make everyone else’s lives a living hell too. Weaponizing your issues or mental illness is just as bad and manipulative as the people who fake having mental illnesses to garner attention.

This man does not live in the real world. He reeks of college. And as a bachelor of arts myself, I know that smell. President Reagan once said, "It's not that our liberal friends don't know anything - it's that they know so many things that just aren't so." President Eisenhower famously said, "An intellectual is a man who uses more words than necessary to tell you more than he knows." When smarty-pants comes at smart, this happens.

@@tallthinkev I agree with all that, the kicker seems to be here that we don't ever hear about issues in those sports do we? Nor is there much on TransMen competing against men. The media and "activist" groups and far spectrum political groups keep wanting to make this about Transgender people but anyone who has been paying attention the last few years can see it has absolutely nothing to do with the group as a whole and instead a very specific and easily identifiable group of people taking advantage of a situation that can be exploitable for their own gain, which isn't actually anything new in society. Until we can look past the fact that this is not an issue with Transgender people nor LGBTQ it is not going to be solved as they debate and argue in circles about things that have nothing to do with the true problem at hand.

In education, they are pushed away from self-thinking into group-thinking. The decision of the whole matters more than the individual. This kind of thinking always allows someone not in the group to be ostracized and in extreme case taken advantage or being outright mistreated. This is why we are a constitutional republic not a democracy, because we don't want the minority to be left out even by creating new minorities that used to be the majority. We have over-corrected the past to remove morality by calling morality a bigoted idea.

It's a good tactic to try and make it a non-confrontational discussion, rather than an un-productive argument. I read in a book a few years ago, the difference between a doctor being sued often and only occasionally for medical malpractice is an extra three minutes on a half-hour visit making sure the doctor gave an interest in the patient themselves. I have no idea if it's true, so take it with a grain of salt.

Social engineering or "interview tactics" or whatever you want to call it work really well when applied appropriately. SC is very good at this. Joe Rogan is one of the best examples, though. Regardless of the topic of conversation, look at SC and Joe's techniques when interviewing. They're very similar.

Its a common tactic for the Trans activist to bring up children who are legitimately born "intersex" due to genetic mutation. The problem is that they use an anomaly as a springboard or even as a basis for their argument. It is a False Equivalency Fallacy. The people who are "transitioning", the people whom this topic is centered around were not born with that anomaly. The doctors did not "assign" them a sex/gender as though they might (with parental consent) the people born as such. We even have a word for it: hermaphrodite. What happens to those children is not nor can it ever be applied to people born legitimately male or female and that is why it is a False Equivalency. It is not a basis from which to assert that doctors are assigning sex/gender. No, those things for the vast, overwhelming majority of people are very clear just as they are with most species of creatures. To argue against this is like arguing that humans are not bipedal creatures because some children are born with one or no legs.

I've been looking into the numbers. As far as I can see.. At 0.018% it should be the equivalent of at least 1.3 million people at most, yeah? It's not a good foundation to base any kind of debate topic on for talking about a higher number (such as 1.7% for trans - being 1Mn per 1Bn, until it ends up being 2Mn per 1Bn.) So that number along already heavily dwarfs hermaphrodites. (Also curious how they came up with that term directly, since it shares Aphrodite's name from greek mythology. Haven't looked into that etymology.) 7. Solution for what is 0.018% of 7.753 7.753/x=100/0.018 (7.753/x)*x=(100/0.018)*x - we multiply both sides of the equation by x 7.753=5555.5555555556*x - we divide both sides of the equation by (5555.5555555556) to get x 7.753/5555.5555555556=x 0.00139554=x x=0.00139554 now we have: 0.018% of 7.753=0.00139554 Maybe the numbers are wrong though. But I'd say until it becomes a reasonable percentage in the world, rather than an extreme fridge edge of a number.. There are more slaves in the world than intersex and transgenders. : /

Your argument about humans being bipedal is a fantastic perspective. If I ever face this type of argument, I'm going to try to trap my opponent with that. "Are humans bipedal?". If they say yes, well, that's a slam-dunk in favor of different sex divisions in sports, because we do indeed consider insignificant percentages to be insignificant, and we do indeed treat edge-cases as edge cases.

I told her that sports is a competition and if she didn't want to win she was on the wrong team. "It's not whether you win or lose, it's how you play the game," is not meant to be an excuse for not caring whether you lose, it's meant to emphasize that while you're trying your best to win, that you do so with an attitude that you're not going to be a poor sport about it. You're not going to try and cheat, or show anger (or your a**) when bested by your opponent. I don't know how the little girl meant it, or in what context she used it. But it's a good statement, not a disparaging of winning, but an elevating of the attitude with which you try and do so.

As a rule anyone trying to drum up an extremely rare case as justification for their arguments is not operating in good faith. You do not structure society based on some rare hypothetical case. You do it on the basis of what works for society as a whole. When you build a house you put a light switch at a height that is comfortable for the average person, not at a height for little people that make up a fraction of a percent of the population. Its idiotic to say we should make grand changes to things just to appease the tiniest minority.
