With all that noise and the time limitation that is the best 147 I've ever seen ; only Ronnies 5 minutes one can rival it ; and such a humble humorous reaction to it too , great stuff

Not just that, his arm is cold! When do you ever see a maxi in the very first frame of a match? Had he even had a shot on that table today? Like in an earlier match? If even so, it’s still a crazy achievement to put your hand on the table in the first of one frame, and knock in a maxi, because the pressure is gonna crank up more than usual, because you know in all likelihood, it’s a once in a career opportunity, the balls will likely never fall for him again to even attempted it, let alone make it.

To be fair why i think this was a special Maxi by Shaun Murphy considering the circumstances the crowd was loud and shouting out funny words which probably would have distracted the play. Also Ronnies fastest maxi was exciting and a rush exactly how the fan want to see on occasions although this was not Ronnie O'Sullivan favourite Maxi . My favourite was at the Welsh open where he potted the last red left handed into the green ball pocket and landed on the final black perfectly will Willie Thorne commentating.

Great Achievement. And something to be proud of. But I just think it's getting blown out of proportion. The pressure in the shootout is nowhere near the crucible. You can't compare. It's a fantastic achievement but I don't think the pressures there. It's always going to be compared to Ronnie's but Ronnie's is still the greatest because there was more pressure being at the world championship crucible. It's a different pressure. I don't want to burst the bubble because it's probably in the top 10 greatest ever things in sport. But I think Ronnie's is the number one greatest ever achievements in sports not just snooker. Is a big ass free to overtake that. You're talking all of sports...

Not a fan of SM but credit given where due on this occasion. Snooker has always been a quiet and dignified game and it's modern day players and the sponsors should remember that too. If you want to be loud to be heard or moan and groan to the outside world, so be it, but you will find it has an adverse impact on your overall performances and instead of been a great player, you become a mediocre player who lost their way by not sticking to the games etiquette.
