Shaun Murphy: two 147 maximum breaks in 3 frames. Hungarian Snooker Gala, 19 May, 2018, Budapest.
Shaun Murphy vs Jimmy White on the 3rd Hungarian Snooker Gala. Shaun made two 147 maximum breaks in the same exhibition, almost in a row. 3 minutes standing ovation, very well deserved. Bravo Shaun!

Shaun: *breathes* Audience: absolutely marvelous *clap clap clap*
I got into watching snooker about a year ago, and Shaun Murphy is one of my favorites. He always seems so easy going but carries a slight air of seriousness that I like. TWO maximums within a 3-frame span? Absolutely fantastic!
This is Legendary!
Wow..fantastic..147 back to back..bravo..
Shaun Murphy best cue action in the game imo, superb 👍

I’d say Robertson but Murphy is a close second both are in a class of their own
An outstanding achievement that may never be matched - two in three frames.
Phenomenally talented player. And yet my first thought after seeing this is to wonder how on earth he hasn’t won more trophies. He is one of the biggest underachievers in the game.

Is he though? 4 time world Finalist and 1 time champion. Two of these finals he competed against probably the second best player of all time in John Higgins and top 5 ever in Mark shelby. In the two Uk finals he has lost, he faced Shelby and Ronnie.
Haha clap on every shot. Enjoyed watching amazing 147 with humour! Literally I can't stop laughing 🤣🤣🤣
Very very wonderful and excellent and very very talented player.
must admit, you wont see that maybe ever again, well done Shaun
Few players in the game as good to watch as Shaun Murphy. He cues beautifully.
Great Audience and Great Respect to the Players,Great to see one maximum break but two! 👏🙌👍
The Magician !
Legend cue action makes it look effortless, brilliant
That last black going in like a bullet with a faux stroke beforehand was a great end to an snooker exhibition in every sense of the word. Jimmy played his part too.

Great just great
Is first time i see this match....Nice... just nice...
This changed my opinion of Shaun Murphy. I always thought he was a bit up himself, but he comes across much more relaxed.
Incredible player when on form
My Father was a ref and told me that at exhibition matches more than one of these players had asked him to go easy as the crowd had come to watch high scoring matches. In tournaments the same players wouldn't want an easy table as one wrong shot could too easily give the game away, and in turn make it easier for lower ranking players to win.
Audience is amazing
Murphy is getting better as he gets older!

Another reason why they have to clap so often: It makes them forget that Hungarians lost all kind of humor over time due evolution.
That last red, on the first 147, along the cushion, with screw back, was just sensational.

For a second there I thought you'd called him the burger. I was ready to write "c'mon, I know he's a little rotund, but...." Very good player. I had no clue he did this. I seen him on tv talking last night about something happened at the crucible? Maybe. Possibly something along the lines of a whitewash as I heard ten nil or something? I was cooking in the other room so wasn't entirely sure.

What precise and perfect play. With every shot left in the exact position needed for the next one, Murphy didn't have a hard shot in either frame. Really impressive. It's entertaining to watch long pots and tricky shots, but this type of play has a beauty of its own.
Crowd are absolutely brilliant!!
Well done Shaun Murphy. I used to love snooker myself back in the day. I was just thinking how wonderful it would be to have such foresight in life.
Great camera work, Great ref and great audience. No wonder Shaun did well.

I'm not keen on watching him normally, but this is very special. Good on him. He is a mighty force in the sport. 😁
Awesome stuff, whether the pockets are regulation size, or a fraction larger. Getting a 147 is near impossible on regulation tables, for anyone. When you consider, the VERY top top tier of pro players, how many frames of snooker they must play over their career, day in, day out. And STILL, the very best have a “tournament 147” tally well below, say, 30. So to get two 147’s, in back to back frames (or was there another frame in between? Can’t remember) is pretty staggering!!! Well done Shaun. What’s more, you ensured that there was one VERY happy crowd!

Nothing is impossiible.
Ppl talking about big pockets but let it not detract what a good knock it was , your positional play still needs to spot on irregardless of the pocket size , and positional plays makes the shot. The art of break building, a shot can be unplayable if your off by a matter of inches.

With larger pockets professionals will aim for one side of the pocket or the other to give themselves more options on positioning. A slight difference in angle can make a lot of difference to them.
Beyond awesome! It's just an exhibition but, if I were a fellow pro player, I'd make a mental note of this performance of his. And he's so humble about it as well: a true professional and one of nicest guys in the tour. Very well done, Shaun.
That was truly Awesome.

The pockets are the same size it's the the fall or cut of the slate. The drop is further out meaning the balls don't have to go perfectly in the centre to fall. Taking nothing away from the fact that these are two perfect breaks and well played by Shaun
Murphy is the BEST!
Clapping gave him the strength to do this.
