I Brought My Mountain Bike to the Off Road Games-But Why?
Спорт
I was invited to the Off-Road Games hosted by @MattsOffRoadRecovery. Off-road KZread Creators were paired with non-off-road creators and given a rock-crawling course to complete in Southern Utah.
I was paired with @Rudysadventureanddesignreal to pilot his rig, "The Rudicon." We decided to literally strap my bike to the roof of the Rudicon and use it as a bike shuttle to the top of the trail because it only made sense to ride back down!

Let's not get Matt hurt. Let's get Rudy signed up tho.
Using the 360 camera on the dash and keeping it level for perspective was such a good choice.

Wasn't feeling it until 9:00. Before then, we were just looking at the hood. Really made me want to see an outside shot to match up with the "tires against the wall" instructions.

I met Sean later on at the event, and at the time I had no idea it was him 😅. I was kind of head down focused on the task, and there were a lot of camera people around. Talk about a photo bomb!

@@SethsBikeHacksI couldn’t believe it when Sean got in the Jeep. I ride motorcycles and not so much bicycles anymore but I’ve been subscribes since you were in Miami. Recently I started riding motorcycles and Sean is one of my favorite bike channels. I know his best friend Craig participated in the games too

Ye, I was like "isn't that guy that bought that fked up chopper made by Orange County Choppers, nah, he can't be" :))
The directive choices you made on this video regarding camera angles to show scale and angle(the dash mounted 360 cam), as well as visually tracing landmarks Rudy is directing you to was brilliant. Offroad youtubers should take note.
We were already in Hurricane UT on our trip, and my wife asked if we could stay longer and go to the games to watch her favorite KZreadr, Seth. So we did and got to spend a little time with you, and supporting you and Rudy. Big respect for you and the humility you showed each of your fans during this three day event. Class act dood. All the best from your over 60 fans....

He completely dominates the genre, and considering his fame and success, Seth has to be the most humble KZreadr I follow. He figured out early on that *relatability* is a key factor, and he's remained grounded the entire time. Even when he shows off his fancy bikes, like his Rail29 or custom titanium hardtail (nicest bike I've ever seen) he does it with so much grace and humility.
I love the way you filmed the driving from the interior of the car. I've never seen that style used in a 4x4 setting, and it's the only time I've felt like the camera captured what it feels like to be in that seat. You should really be proud of your driving in this event. I know people that have been 4x4ing for 20 years that couldn't / wouldn't have done those tracks. To do it with so little experience is incredible.

I totally get what he was saying about Rudy watching over him. When you've got a veteran giving you the thumbs up, that's a HUGE confidence boost.
@KarlEller

Yeah, normally the camera doesn't do the angles justice, but I think it did this time! Some of those looked well over 45° 🤣
Can't WAIT to see how well Matt drives a bike. That dude is amazing, been following his channel for years as well, and he does a ton for the disabled community too.

SAME! yeah, Matt Is the man!
After all these years, Seth continues to come up with entertaining and fun content. He's a true creator, you can tell he loves it and that's why he completely dominates the genre!!
My two favorite KZreadrs in one video! Very interesting and very entertaining. Thanks for sharing your awesome experience at the games with us. I'm looking forward to the follow-up where Matt goes mountain biking 🙂
0:07 the moment when I thought his bike would be gone 😂
This was easily the most enjoyable cross-over video I’ve ever seen!!! I’ve loved Matt’s channel for years, and your channel for even longer!!! Seeing you do so well in the games, have so much fun, and be so excited at the end put such a big smile on my face that I think my face muscles got stuck! I’ve been smiling ever since!! Thank you so much for your amazing content, and willingness yo try awesome new things! I’d love to see you off roading in the future and at the games next year!
Has to be in the top 10 of your episodes. Loved it
Why do I feel like it's the best day of my life when I'm just watching Seth have his best day of his life. Such an awesome video!
Honestly this is so great! Living near Moab we have tons of trails that are being shut and all the outdoor activities groups are not unifying even though the closures effect mtb, dirt bikes, and 4x4. We need to realize that all of these pursuits are one in the same and we all should fight to protect them!
That XJ definitely eats trails for breakfast. But you did a great job, and being a mountain biker helps with choosing lines. Loved this cross over
Great job Seth. Rudy is always entertaining to watch.
Seth in the era of overproduced KZread channels I love that I can still see your personality in your videos. Thank you
I'm so used to riding around rock crawlers in Moab or stopping on the side to watch people drive insane ledges. We love cheering and applauding the drivers and spotters. Thanks for bringing the two worlds together.
My first car was a '94 Cherokee Sport too! Berm Peak and Matt's Offroad Recovery are some of my favorite KZread channels. Love this collab.
Best story telling content of the Off Road games! Well done Seth.
Since I watch both channels and Matt announced you were coming the the Off Road Game I could wait to see your versions / narration POV of the games…. AWESOME !!!!
Coming from the Off Road community and owning two very capable Jeeps, I can attest that you were a champ out there, Seth. Those trails are not easy and most people would crack under the pressure. Great job! That rig was amazing too. I'm glad you got a taste of the feels. It's those moments that make nerves of steel. Mountain bikes and Jeeps...money can't buy happiness....but have you ever seen someone sad on a bike or in a Jeep? Nope, me neither. Thanks for sharing.
This is what KZread is about. Cool collaborations. Good times. That was a great video!
Seth and bikes and beards in the same video, hell yeah. Yall need to do a collab
It was also cool seeing Sean from Bikes and Beards jump in with you!
That looked amazingly fun, both the four wheeling and the biking back down that janky trail.
Fun to see Porter and Fam there as well. Love these KZread link-ups. So much fun.

We had so much fun down there with Seth and Matt!
I'm a huge offroad KZread watcher, I watch pretty much all of the offroad KZreadrs that were there. I also haven't road a mountain bike in about 20 years. All of that being said, I discovered your channel about a year ago and love watching your videos! I was super excited to find out you were going to be at the games and interested to see how you were going to do a video on it. Needless to say, you didn't disappoint!
Such a fun weekend, turns out all the hours with the RC Crawlers completely transferred over!
Ive been waiting all week for this video
love how Seth looked so serious and focussed when crawling
You and Rudy are a heckuva team. Hopefully, we'll see more collaborations between you and other automotive channels. It just seemed like you really enjoyed being behind the wheel and were in the moment.
Can't wait to see Matt on a bike. Pretty sure he's not a complete novice as his kid rode for the NICA team last year, but still should be a good vid.
Well done capturing the incline of these obstacles. So many youtubers film in a way that makes the obstacles look easy.
As a humongous fan of Matt's offroad, Rudy's channel, AND Berm Peak, I will say this is the dreamiest video of all time!!
Thanks for the two seconds of fame! It was fun to get to hang & chat for a few minutes. Definitely the highlight of my Off Road Games experience. Looking forward to seeing the MTB ride with Matt. I'll let you know when I get my video posted.
Made me pucker on my couch😮. Absolutely the coolest!
Absolutely LOVED this! THanks for participating!
I lost my son 18yr old son 2yrs ago and we rode bikes all the time.Even motorcycles. LOVE what ya do Seth! You're a great guy! Keep up the great work!
So fun to watch your passion for RC cars and bring them to life and then ride back down on your MTB. What A Great Day!!!!
Great driver and I love that you rode the entire trail back. MTB and 4x4. My two favorite hobbies ❤
Seth's like "welp....another expensive hobby to indulge in". Now all we need to do is get him bass fishing and playing golf to complete the circle.

I was looking forward to this one lol! Great stuff Seth! And Rudy was the perfect accomplice for the off road games.
Ha. Seth, I just saw you on Laura Farms channel. I was blown away when I noticed you. Looks like a lot of fun.
Cool to see Sean from Bikes and Beards ride up that last part with you
That was awesome. Thanks Seth (for like the thousandth time).
What an incredible event. One of the only people that ever shuttled up and rode down that track.
Safe to say everyone loves when other KZreadrs randomly pop in! Goes to show we are all not so different after all.
Two of my favorite you tube channels! Best collab ever!!!
Right on Seth! You did a great job. I am an Off Roader AND Mountain Biker, I have been following you, MORR and RAD for a very long time! I was SO glad to see you participating in this adventure. GREAT STUFF! I truly believe that OFF Roaders and Mountain Bikers have way more in common than anyone thinks.
This really was your most stressful video! Off roading honestly is really impressive! My wife and I got to do something similar to your example but in Sedona, AZ and I was stressed. My wife thought it was the best thing ever. She grew up off roading so makes sense!
Love the combo of offroading and mtb, we need more creators like this.
As a fan of all channels included, this was super enjoyable to watch. Thanks for the content Seth, Rudy and Mat's crew.
Southern Utah is just about the best place on the planet for mountain biking. I miss living close to there. Great stuff.
Y'all made a great team and for sure deserved your people's choice win.
So glad you participated in this, you and Matt are some of my first subs and to see all the KZreadrs together doing cool stuff is awesome.
The guy asking if Seth is scared - he should've seen some of the features Seth rides 😂

Love to see you here! Really cool when my two favorite hobbies come together.
Rudi and all of the crew out there are amazing. I love that you found a way to bike it up!! Off road trails have a lot of fun bike options as I do both together often! Looking forward to more!
this is the collab i never knew i need. been watching both you guys for years now. this is great.
Seth, glad you made the cut for the Off-road Games. Always appreciate your perspective. You are now in my world, MTB and Off-Roading. I think I have been following you a little longer than MORR. (2020).
I love this, from time to time I find these weird collabs between two Guys I watch and it's always a good time.
I was so happy seeing you there. I felt like crying. I am from NC and have been watching you for years!!! I started watching MORR last year sometime, I was so excited to see my two favorite youtubers.
Great video! What a blast! I hope we can bridge these communities and find ways to protect the wonderful trails in Utah for all activities.
This came out exactly as I was hoping... it was magnificent... loved your take on the 4 wheel side of things... you did great and enjoyed every minute of it.
You can tell you're a mountain biker because you lean as you go through the trails! And you have a leg up on others because you understand balance and physics in general - awesome stuff man! You got a new subscriber!
Excellent job Seth! You just combined 2 of my favorite hobbies into 1 video. On one hand ive got 20 years of offroading experience, and only 4 years of mtbing time. And was looking for more mtbing time on this videa, lol. As Ive watched most of those lines multiple time on various other channels. So Bravo too you sir, for pulling me deeper into the mtb rabbit hole. And cant wait to see Matt riding.
Thanks Seth, if you can keep bringing all my fav youtubers together, that would be great. Haha, great video.
I love this sense of community. I know and follow literally every person at that event. How fun! A seth perspective is normally the best perspective.
being so early to a Berm peak video feels illegal...

Hey Seth, great job at the games. Hope you enjoyed your time out here in Utah. We enjoyed watching you and Rudy kill it out there.
Really good stuff, I enjoy watching all of these channels and it's really cool to see them all collaborating together!
I've been watching Matt's Off Road Recovery for a couple years and I was at the games this year. You did a great job and your video was awesome! Thanks for coming to the games.
I have been a fan of MOR, RAD, and yours for a long time. So stoked when I heard you were going to be a driver. You were awesome.
Nice Seth. Incredible machine. Keep filming your best days. It makes for amazing video and Hi Def allows us to realize why it's moon dust. Brings us right in. Thanks again and nice cameo from the Dean of DB.
Been waiting for this! So good to see berm peak videos when your bike is in for service
this is the first rock crawling video I’ve ever seen with a smooth jazz soundtrack hahaha
Thank you SO much for doing and sharing this. I was smiling broadly from beginning to end. Three of my favourite channels combined. I was really looking forward to seeing this. Was super excited that you were invited, of course not just because I was one of surely thousands who nominated you, but because I couldn't wait to see you crushing the trails with Rudy AND riding your bike on those trails. Really hope I'll be able to come over to the USA to meet you all in person!!
Great job Seth! God bless you.
I’ve been waiting for this video! Way to represent the MTB community, Seth! You’re the man!

Oh man! What a gem ! such a great Video. nice to see Bikes and Beards with you as well. Woooh!!!
I'm so happy to see two of my favorite youtubers from my favorite hobbies come together!
I love the straight horizon camera work, that really gives more perspective to what the vehicle is doing. Great job!
I've been following both of you for years. So awesome you two got paired up. Rudy needs to ride berm peak!
Love this. Two of the KZreadrs I choose to watch the most often. So glad you said "Yes" to their invitation.
Wow. Thanks for sharing this with us. Amazing. Im sooo jealous.
I love that my KZread worlds have collided! Way to go Seth!
