Why don't they take a car put it at the edge of the cliff (sideways) and then take another car and RAM it from side. The car sitting there would be flipping tumbling down the hill with an incredible spectacle as the other car is flying through the debris. Come on guys you got to be creative. There's so many things you can do to make it less repetitive

IF this event was in the lower 48 somewhere, I could not imagine the size of the crowd it would draw. Great video, guys. I've watched a few other videos of this event, but yours is among the best.

That Jurassic Park van was just icing on the cake. As a proud owner of a 2006 Ford Fusion, this video genuinely made me sad, and as i watched in horror as the beautiful sedan launched, i could do nothing but feel sad for the ol gal. The fusion in this vid looks exactly identical to my own baby minus a spoiler since she is an SE, and im very sentimental for her bc she is my first car, passed on from one of my grandpa's kids who is all grown up, only to have me, an 17-18 year old boy drive and love it next, even as far as surpassing the 200,000 mile barrier. Now I'm 19, Ive had many fun times with her, as well as a couple friends, and I will have many more to come! Here's to you, Silver! "Hi Ho Silver, Awayyyy!" Rest in peace, little "06 Fusion, you will be missed. Im sure you had a loving family to cherish and cruise in.

I grew up in the little town that host this. Feels good to see people enjoying what Alaska has to offer in entertainment.

I don't know why but I found this oddly satisfying, yet terrifying all at the same time. And Jeez the size of that crowd.............WOW!!

Been going to these since I think 2017 and they're a hella fun time... bunch of great folk, here in Alaska we love Murica and awesome to see good ole boy's like Arnie putting on these events commemorating our servicemen and celebrating our Independence and freedom as Americans!

That was hilarious! My daughter (I live in Thailand so she is half and half) did not see the humor, but I was crying laughing. I told her if she wants to go to school in america she has to learn how we do 4th of July! I am saving this and showing it to all my Thai friends!

Thanks for this celebration! I lived in Anchorage, AK for 35 years, completely unaware of this event. Looks like a great way to have fun, especially since fireworks don’t display well during summer in the Land of the Midnight Sun. 🎆🎆🎆

I would like to nominate this video for the Best Picture and Best Editing Oscars for the 2023 season. The pacing was optimal - enough good & relevant information. The hosts have enough personality to make it interesting, but not distracting - the event is not about them or their "reactions". The cinematography is top notch. It's the editing on this that makes it stand out. The video tells several clear visual stories about the individual cars' lifespans in this context - from a whole crapton of cameras and footage. Each shot is long enough to savor, but not to bore. I strongly suspect the editor has regular Hollywood credits to their name. Bravo, brava!

Those vehicles had terminal issues, they wouldn’t have been good for helping anybody. Not to mention the safety issue of operating a pile of junk like that on the roadways. I see where you’re coming from, really I do. It sucks that life has dealt some crumby hands. But I want you to rest assured that those cars we’re headed for the scrap yard either way. I’d rather those cars bring people joy before they’re scrapped. Plus it’s cool AF.

I’ve been to all the United States except Alaska. 49 out of 50. I think I’m going to plan a visit to Alaska just to see this spectacle! It seems like a good reason to go to #50!

Some gorgeous flights this year. Must have had the wind in their favour. :) Nothing more satisfying than a flat jump with a pancake "WHUMP!" at the bottom.

Yeah, some sort of catch fence might be in order.

You have to add some tannerite to the jumps or landings and get some colored powder to impact at the jumps with the tannerite, that would totally add to the lack of nighttime fireworks

Need to arrange an event like this somewhere on the south downs
