Started this journey 2 weeks ago, I'm scheduling two beats, per week since I'm in medschool and don't have a lot of time, all the way until Mid-July and I'll make sure to never miss any upload for a whole year. @@flatroommusic I make sales but I wouldn’t say they’re consistent quite yet. I think my channel is too small still. I did pretty good in December, enough to actually help with bills but not quite in January, now pretty good again so far in February. Only 4 months in though so I’m curious to see how the rest of my first year pans out

@@uhhjaxxprod Got it. I'm glad to hear that it's kinda working for you. I was to discouraged a few years ago to start because of that much competition but now I see a lot of new channels blowing up. Also this clip made me think I should stat it, but I'm not gonna succeed to post a beat every day, it's too much.. I think new channels are blowing up way faster it's because of the changes in the YT algoritm that now helps more and promote more the smallest channels.

@@flatroommusic Yeah I’ve had people tell me it’s too saturated but when you think about it, what industry offers the potential for good money that’s not already saturated? Someone has to fill the role. You may be right about YT catering to smaller channels though. And yes most producers can’t do a beat a day especially for genres outside of rap it’s extremely difficult if you have a full time job and social life. I’m gonna keep grinding though and do everything I can

When the beat first comes on and people like it, they will stay and listen to it regardless of a long intro or not.

Just because you like something doesn't mean you're going to listen to it all the way. I have many favorite songs on Spotify that I either save for later or skip through even if they're my favorites. By adding suspense you are able to ensure you captivate someone's attention at that moment, because if they click off that hurts your views even if it's the best beat you made.

@@MarkYeeDaMajor As long as you understand that simply because you like something doesn't guarantee that they will stay. People like to compare and want to find out whether the next video on KZread is better, but they won't know until they skip and then come back to realize you beat was the best, you have to think about this from the customers mindset. If you make them wait a little longer they will spend more time on your best increasing your chances of selling it as they familiarize themselves and also they will help your algorithm. If the next beat is the best sure it might be good but it dropped too early and they skip to the next video to compare beats. Sure it may be the best beat but you just hurt your algorithm, you may have the best beat but if it doesn't get watched or pushed by the algorithm what's the point. What I'm saying is that you can have the same good beat and arrange it a bit differently for a greater positive result. This is how competition works, I like beats but I skip them the second they drop because I have to compare them to the next trap beats on my suggested .

Damn dude that shit is crazy iv'e just been using niche keywords to grow my small channel and have been getting 200-500 views per video, sometimes over 1k if I'm lucky. Definitely need to start targeting those bigger keywords to see if I can get those same results. I know my beats are fire; I just gotta step my keyword game up and also upload more frequently. Hi bro , what do you mean by saying you've changed your tactic and make more beats like the one that blow up. It means you made more beats sounding like the one that blow up or you just change your titles/ type to the same as the one that blow up. Are all of the beats on your new channel had the same key word (trap type beat)? What was the reason for the algorithm to choose this one beat. Hey elliot, when you were uploading type beats were you trying out different keywords every video? If so, I reccomend privating your videos and focusing in on 1 keyword or niche and expand from there.

Been makin beats over here in $##$&&$ for years. But please explain to me, what is a "type beat" mean. What does lt mean? Am I totally off if a "type beat" is like a "eminem type beat / lil wayne type beat" (example)?

I didn't use any artist keywords, my keywords consisted of "freestyle beat, trap beat, rap beat, etc."

Post 1 times a week bruh or 2 no need to upload everyday, save sum beats to send out to artist. Aslong as you consistently upload per week at least once you’ll be good

Agreed, I recently forced myself to make a beat and upload everyday for over 100 days and I just realized I couldn't do it without heavily compromising the quality. First 30-40 beats were good, after that it tanked. Now I gotta clean up my channel lol. It depends what works for you. If you can handle it, do it. Just make sure you're consistent with it; I would assume that's the most important ingredient of growth on social media@@taineshwty
