I uploaded 1 beat per day for 2 months. I didn’t really have much engagement or plays. So I cut back to 3 times per week and used the other time to focus on building my channel. Within 3 weeks I made my first sale and it was a beat that I had uploaded back in that first week. I realized that without a following in place, it really didn’t matter if I uploaded 5 beats per day because there was no one listening. Consistency is great, but if you don’t do the work to lay the foundation, you are basically playing the lottery.

really intuitive video. thanks man its inspired me. i find so much inspiration but then i fall when it comes to being the creator as i always judge my work so harshly that i leave the beat aside. i went back into my beats from a couple of years ago and was so surprised and impressed with that content i once made, but in those moments i kept wanting to get better i never thought of them as products. its all about finding a middle-ground where you can free flow stress free and consider it a product to be uploaded. good luck to everyone on their journey. hope everyone achieves their goals but its all about enjoying the journey.

It is generally true that you get better quality by producing more quantity but there is a caveat i.e you might be sticking to what you already know and therefore make the same kind of beat repeatedly with minimal improvement. Therefore in your quest to get better quality through quantity, you need to identify areas you lack in or you can improve on and deliberately practice and improve on them.

And how have I been working constantly work for 2 months and I completed 12 beats... but then when I finally finished mixing all those beats, each one was a unique and precious flawless diamond, they are all good enough to be the foundation of a classic grammy winning album....literally all 9's and 10's....so yeah, personally I've always been about quality over quantity....I think the best speed I can aim for right now is 3 days to get it right, 1 to make the beat, 2 to perfect the arrangement, 3 to perfect the mix

Look at it like this build a catalog. Focus on making 50, 75, or 100 bearts. Take as long as you need to it’s not a race like he said. Mix and master as you go once you get to your goal start organizing them. In folders with stems and wav files and tagged. Once you do that your ready to start uploading. Now all you got to do is wake up and post a beat a day rather than make a beat mix and master, create cover then upload to KZread and your beat stores. Check your channel every other day and look at your analytics and adjust accordingly with your tags that are working. It’s alot of up front work but I’m building my catalog now and that’s what I will be doing. Break it down step by step.

I need to focus more on quantity than quality. What is bad too is money, seeing my channel not growing and my sound is still kinda the same (atleast i think) i dont want to spend 400$ on some kind of VTS, to get quality instruments and samples, cuz what if its not about the samples or instruments, but basicaly the beat quality itself? I dont know.. I gonna keep uploading every tim when i finish beat that i actually like, yeah, i can stop placement beat which is simple, but then i can spot beat of mine, where is completly no room for artist (mostly every beat of mine).. Thanks for sharing im working on starting my channel in august - been stock piling beats to get started and then be ahead as I go - really needed this
This video really helped me bro, I've been going through a huge beat block today and this got me the motivation to make something, it's also inspiring me to continue uploading daily not hoping for instant success. I just want to get better with each beat I post.
Thanks for this dude. I'm currently switching from a MWF upload schedule to M-F. I needed to hear this right now.

Great points!
As beginner I am startled by the type beat hype in beatselling, so much so that I hesitate to get into it, even though I was thinking to myself: I could look at it as a learning proccess. I was thinking about options where I could avoid burn out, as learning music is just as huge to me as building a business. You really rounded up my thoughts in a way that it makes sense. Thank you, subscriiibe.
Editing on point 👌
It is generally true that you get better quality by producing more quantity but there is a caveat i.e you might be sticking to what you already know and therefore make the same kind of beat repeatedly with minimal improvement. Therefore in your quest to get better quality through quantity, you need to identify areas you lack in or you can improve on and deliberately practice and improve on them.
thank you, !!! thank you so much for this vid!!!
When it comes to quantity or quality, i believe that you need to get faster at making your quality, and always set a standard to never go below even if you dont make much higher than your standard… 2 beats a day is a good goal to set for yourself.
you gave me confidence in myself thx

I’ve been uploading nearly everyday for nearly two months. I still have NO traction on KZread. But I kept on going and put more time into beat CONTENT. From that I got more views and engagement leading to more networking and beat sales. I say upload everyday if you can but also put money into ads…make shorts/reels on beat making. Fortune favors the brave…and active One of the best videos I’ve watched on this topic. Interesting comments too. Almost like they didn’t watch and digest the entire video.
This wasnt just a tutorial for me. it was a reminder and a motivation for my process, i will reach the goal i have set and i hope the best for you all as producers
My mix never sounds right until workin on it for a few days or even weeks. Producers who upload daily have mostly mid beats. Compare them to guys like Soulker and Lezter who upload every 2-4 days and you'll see a huge gap in quality

this dude skoolbeats has quality Afrobeats 1 per day, I was kinda shocked...like how tf does he do it? And how have I been working constantly work for 2 months and I completed 12 beats... but then when I finally finished mixing all those beats, each one was a unique and precious flawless diamond, they are all good enough to be the foundation of a classic grammy winning album....literally all 9's and 10's....so yeah, personally I've always been about quality over quantity....I think the best speed I can aim for right now is 3 days to get it right, 1 to make the beat, 2 to perfect the arrangement, 3 to perfect the mix

valuable advice
It really helped a lot to me what I have to do now😍👍
What I’m doing rn is stacking up on beats to upload so I’m not rushed and I don’t lose the quality. It would definitely suck if you had to make a beat every single day just to keep up with your uploads
Great video
When u said “hey siri” mine on my phone turned on lol just thought that was funny we must sound alike 😂
i feel like you should work on both. the easy beats to produce still need to be produced to help you make progress, however you should work on making the ones important to you personally. both of them are going to help you grow.
I uploaded 1 beat a day for about a year - there all private on my channel now. But I definitely recommend this as my views steadily went up and after a year I saw success and had a beat even get over 300k views. I then started uploading less frequently and now my views are the lowest they've been in a while lol. Should've kept uploading once a day

@@wegotthatHEATE I used to make trap and then I switched to drill so I privated all the old trap ones, also the mixes were pretty bad lol
Great video bro, where I fall short sometimes is finding time for making cover art for every beat that I make so I can post them to youtube and my beat store. Do you have any advice for how to streamline that process?
future note to me: maybe do some trend-jacking in the beginning to get a following and then start focusing on quantity
Hey, thanks for helping us, i am uploading one beat every other day on my beat channel since the last 4 months so is just uploading them enough or should i do something more to sell beats?
production value's went to the moon
At first I was like nah then you plaid that clip then the abandon perfectionism and yessss
I definitely suffer from the attachment to this notion of perfection- and it definitely hinders me and takes away from the creative process. really good advice, can be applied to just about any business. ty.
good video, i got better by uploading and making multiple beats everyday for a couple years.
Being a producer is hard enough work as it is so sometimes I find myself questioning if uploading multiple beats a week is really the way because how can you just layout a beat , mix everything so quick, go through the mastering process (some skip that part) and then do it all over to make a few more while still only spending 4 or 5 hours in the Stu to do it.

Only gems here💎no bullshit

Well i started my youtube channel a year ago in September 2022. It took me a year and 3 months to get to 100 subs. Im now at 132 i got 32 subs with in a month just most iv ever gotte n with in a month. I have at least 4 other youtube channels with low subs and views with beats dateing back to 2021. With this channel i successful figured this out kinda. And that is from posting a beat EVERYDAY! Every now and then the youtube gods above will bless me. U just gotta be and stay consistent!!!! Make sure your beats match the artist in your niche aswell. Haven't really made a sell BUT i honestly wanna grow my channel n get better with my beats. This also helps you as a producer cause it gives u clear presentation of what you need to work on asfar as your production. And post shorts!!!!!!!!!!! 💯
those guys were saying they just download a splice melody and put drums on it. Just be lazy and use loops if it's about making money
Consistency!
Thanks 😢👊

I meam hes completly right.. Me as a perfectionist it can take me about 8 hours making one single beat, considering i have around 5 free hours after work, its basicaly killing my life, when i try to chase for that upload rate. I need to find some balance, and get my mix together....

Honestly I don't think it matters how many beats you upload a day. I upload 2 beats a day.Talking about quantity over quality...If you're good in producing quality you're just good man.All my beats got a good mix because I studied how to always come up with a clean mix.I use the same method in every beat I upload here.So I guess the best way to make it is to find your weaknesses and strength then start working on it
