Maybe. I've been consistent for the past month, and not one new subscriber. Go figure... At some point, instead of letting KZread make money off of my efforts, I'll just delete the account entirely. I'm pretty sure the lion's share of KZread's revenue is from creators that are not monetized. Which is most of them.

Many KZreadrs are claiming that it will be super hard for new channels to gain exposure and YT is saturated for new creators, the reason is because that they do not want you to take a piece of the cake. There's ALWAYS room for new creators. I started my journey a year ago and already have two major channels that generate above 85k\month. However lots of info is missing, I noticed all the influencers are just keep the real secrets for themselves, I understood that after reading an eBook. No one is talking on how to outrank competitors, how to gain additional traffic outside YT, how to do proper off site SEO for additional exposure etc...

Thanks for sharing this. I am small content creator with mainly some faceless content, and I started posting bunch of Shorts lately. The hardest thing is starting your channel, that's for sure. The thing that worked for me really well is giving my videos small boost on Famester. This caused them to spread everywhere, bringing more and more organic views day after day.

I agree it is so hard and the algorithm sometimes pushes me 50 views and sometimes 400. it is hard as a new creator ot get a handle om it.

I think that for small channels the most important thing is to have some kind of strategy (for me it using some services, like a little bit of Famester from time to time). It works wonders, and is especially good for faceless channels and brand new channels to help you achieve that 1000 subscribers as fast as possible.

As always, great content! My small hack is to give my videos a small kick in terms of views and when someone searches for keywords that my videos contain, they show up (especially if someone sorts their search results by number of views in the last day or week)

I did tip #4 . Went from 80 subs to 3200 in 3 months. This part is VERY true. Pick a less competitive part of your niche to grow an audience. When you get an audience, THEN you can start shifting away from the topic that made you popular. Just don't stray to far away from the topic that got you the audience.

@@shortrecipe2022 the standard stuff. Good/intense video editing. Probably spend 10-12 hours editing each video (only 8-12 mins long). Good story telling, and good titles and thumbnails.

I 100 percent feel this. I had a small channel i started and had 125 subscribers that took a year to obtain. Then i forgot my password. After 5 months of being depressed i started this channel yesterday and have managed 6 subscribers so far. Im a nobody on the youtube world but i feel my passion for making content wont let me give up..for better or worse im married to it...Our time will come yall..dont give up, dont give in......manifestation is 🗝

definetly helpful, thank you! But remember this everyone: The point of uploading videos is to share your skills with the world and try to enjoy youself. Some small channels (like me) will remain small. But I dont care. just enjoy yourselves everyone 🤤

I think that, like most people, getting ignored by the algorithm is very very frustrating to the point of even giving up. That's why, in my case, I lose consistency over time because I know that anyway the algorithm is not gonna love me. It's like a loop: the algorithm doesnt love you, you upload less, so the algorithm doesnt love you, and on and on and on.

yes, the reward is important for many people to keep pushing. But we as humans often look on short term reward, and youtube is for the long run. You have to keep pushing your stuff for 6-12 months to see whats happening, instead of giving up after 4 weeks because nobody watches you. Some people have been uploading for years before growing an audience.

I've fallen into this trap myself. Sometimes, though, it's easy to blame the algorithm when it's actually something I did, like a bad title or thumbnail, or taking too long to get to the good parts of the video! At other times it's just that a whale in your niche uploaded that day and the views are going to them.

Ive been going at this for almost 3 years and I agree this is extremely frustrating! But, I found taking the time to educate myself and taking a break from this space (whether that is 1 week or 3 months) is super beneficial!

Hi, so. This is not the case. This is a myth that big creators have thrown around since they don't get as many views after hiatuses. That's not because KZread is not pushing their content, it's because their regular viewers have lost interest overtime, so their new videos don't perform as well as the old ones. Also, most KZreadrs metric their view count against their evergreen videos, aka the ones that people are always watching, aka the ones that make them money. These often have millions of views, so they overshadow their perspective of the actual view count they are obtaining. If people watch your content, then it is pushed. If people have gotten used to watching your content, then they'll watch your content, leading to a more condensed increase in engagement, leading to better performance.

As a small creator, I was worried about the same thing and had stopped uploading. Thanks to this video, I am back creating and uploading, not loosing hope. Every creator was once small, no one started big and chances are that all of us are gonna be there soon. Love y'all!

One thing I noticed regarding algorithms on other sites: be mindful of what companies are in competition with each other. I tried advertising my KZread video links through Facebook in the past, and always got much less attention on those than any other posts. It hurt my creativity for a while because it seemed like none of my friends cared about content I put a lot of heart into. In reality, they probably never even saw the videos posted on FB in their feeds. This was a few years back so I don't know if the same censorship goes on. Haven't been on FB in like 4 years. Google and Meta are competitors, and when big corporations censor each other they hurt the little guy.

Haha this video really helped! I am a small gaming channel and just started 2 weeks ago! This is exactly what I thought was happening and I am now using these techniques. Thanks!

Knowing that im not alone makes me feel a little better because everyone is trying to be big on KZread. With a little motivation and if we keeo pushing ourselevs, we'll get there one day!!💪

Another great video from vidIQ. If only KZread had a feature to enter the amount of views/likes/subscribers you want and have them delivered to your channel. Of course I'm kidding, there are already tools that can do that. My favourite one is Famester. Which one do you guys like best?

We are a small channel but we just hit our 4000 watch hours today 🎉🎉 which feels amazing we are still at 756 subs gotta work on that but soon will be monetized it’s been hard work but not as hard as u think. We will make a video showing exactly what we did it’s easier than you think butttt u do have to be consistent and work hard good luck guys 💪🏼💪🏼

Agree 100%. Consistency is all it takes to grow your small channel to gain momentum. The algorithm doesn't recommend your videos, post more videos. As simple as that.

I've tried all of these for my sewing channel except for niching down. That's what I'm focusing on this year and I'm giving it a whole year before judging the results, so thanks for reassuring me that I'm on the right track!

If you want your account to grow:you have to work hard and make sure that what ever you doing is accordingly and reasonable

Remember keep pushing and don't give up! The resources are out there waiting for us all. Stay committed, stay motivated and it will all pay off. I've recently starting using KZread's promotion feature on the content tab and it has helped me tremendously, on top of learning from videos like this one. Good luck to all! Let's get it!

Before you even start a KZread channel you will HAVE to believe in yourself even before others do. For a small KZreadr like myself it is very important. You will have to put quality time into your channel and try connecting with your viewers/supporters. 3:34 is the most important part to me. I've networked with a lot of offline friends, showing them my art videos, story time videos and such, and they instantly subscribed and watched them. My offline friends gave me an average of 20 minutes of view time each, so: 20 minutes x 40 friends = 13.33 hours of view time. Friends is power.

I try to do some of the things you guys mentioned in your video. I only just started my channel not that long ago I think I maybe have 15 subscribers. I'm not giving up I make videos every Sunday and post them every sunday. It takes time and dedication to want to have a channel and to try and grow your channel. So everybody that is trying to start their own channel don't give up and just keep pushing.

I dedicated my channel to sharing remixes that I put together myself of popular songs just out of my love for music, but it’s becoming harder getting my new ones seen and I honestly don’t know why they’re not blowing up like my older mixes from years ago, with one reaching 1 million views recently. 🤷‍♂️ Part of why I started uploading again was because I seen I gained 3k subs outta nowhere, so I thought I’d get recommended faster… (I learned that’s not the case. 💀) along the way I’ve learned to give credit to the copyright owners and state its all for entertainment purposes only in all my video descriptions... So I’m fine with not being monetized and when copyright owners put ads on my videos for them I’m glad to help them get paid. 👍 But it’s discouraging seeing views of high quality videos drop. I just started cramming words in my recent descriptions that I copied and pasted from another channels related video that gained 12k likes in 24 hrs, in hopes it would make an impact but it feels like my channel is being stalled. Not only frustrating that it takes time putting my mixes together, but I admit I can put a lot of effort on my videos visual effects, so it just sucks to not see them blow up right away. Maybe I made a mistake of commenting on related videos of songs that I remixed with links to my mixes, but I always start them off with “If anyone’s interested,” …

This is insightful especially the part about promoting your videos. Let's keep pushing

Finding the right niche - seems obvious, but it's also easier said than done I think. What might be interesting for us, may not be particularly captivating for others. I guess that consistency, interacting with your audience and positive attitude in general do the work as well. Thank you for sharing these tips anyway and good luck to all of us - small creators! ☺💚

If you want to reach your goal, don't look at the "big picture", but instead try to plan every micro move that keep you on the road that leads to the objective. Do everyday a small step forward, you will get there eventually. Just be patient.

I checked your channel - content is good but you should definitely improve audio quality. The distortions are painful to listen to. Improving tech should be an easy fix. I think you voice is good but it's getting butchered...

@@Martinit0 yeah definitely on my list of things to improve. I currently use the ps5 to record so I can't have separate audio and game which means I can't adjust my voice. Appreciate the feedback though mate definitely on my list

I don't believe the algorithm works for small youtubers, we need to support one another first, to get the algorithm to notice us.

This is exactly what i did unknowingly lol. In 1 month i've reached 285 subscribers, 50K views and 2K watchtime hours. And the analytics are showing very postive growth signs everyday. At the beginning I got alot of views from relevant subreddits where I posted my gameplay videos. Then slowly views started coming in naturally through youtube homepage recommendations and suggested videos.

The algorithm can be a tricky little thing. There are millions and millions of new channels every day, so getting into the algorithm's good favor is not easy but also not impossible.
