Somewhere in the world, a guy smacked his rift when this happened and started working twice as better. What happened to the good old days where you could smack devices?

I got the S last weekend, and I'm very very very happy with it. The tracking is absolutely PERFECT. I love it and its soooo "cheap" compared with competitors.

I had the tracking issue, but I found it was a lighting issue.

Seeing that I just bought mine all this time later im sure this isn't a problem anymore ?

To anyone who’s reading this, I want to help. I had this problem when I first got mine but not as frequent as you describe it, all I did was in the oculus app folder under support click on oculus-drivers and then click yes when it prompts you with the screen, do you allow it to make changes to your pc? When you re-open the app it will say “checking app status” and it was resolved :)

You didn't do "X" and that would have solved your problems instantly.

i feel bad for everyones defective rift s, if you guys have problems. Only problem I had was with the steamvr, and it fixed itself

Just out of curiosity, did they tell you anything about the type of lighting that you're supposed to use (flourecent, LED, etc.) because I've heard flourecent is terrible for systems that reply on IR to track

I've had two rift s's and tried everything to fix my problems. i've had the same issues and i'm going to switch to another kind of headset. should i go for vive? or what?

Should I get a quest or rift s as I dont know whether I should sacrifice quality to get conviency I do have a pcvr ready headset but most my friends have a quest plus I dont have a laptop so on trips it might be hard to take it with me, which would I go for (am also trying to get my mother I to vr as the only games she really played are pacman lol)

I had the same problem, I stuffed some avocado 🥑 in the usb holes and it fixed it

I got mine this week and i haven't had thing wrong with it i love it. They should give you you money back for sure.
