For now its going to the carribean, which while warm also has quite high wind shear so that could dampen the storm

@@ronnie9953 Yes, but it doesn't matter if you have an unlimited fuel tank when the car is blown apart. But it seems that the hurricane is doing fine against the wind shear, so you have a quite high chance to be correct here Edit: Moisture seems to not be on its side either it seems, and there is a chance an EWRC happens

There's too much shear where it's heading, water temperature is only part of it. Can have the warmest waters ever but if there's high shear it won't maintain strength and get torn apart.

It will weaken, wind shear only increases from here. It was meant to maintain its speed but increased a small bit but that window is over.

You can't steer a low or high pressure system. Hurricanes are heat engines. Heat can be measured. Humans have nowhere near the energy output to match a hurricane. Pick up an ecology and/or meteorology book. Old text books are cheap.
