I have lived in Florida for close to 40 yrs. Have been through several hurricanes in my lifetime. With a few of them being category 3 and 4. Have experienced gusts up to 140 to 150 mph and never lost a palm tree. To see palm trees snap like twigs is unbelievable. Palm trees have evolved to withstand storms just like this. They are very flexible and usually will shed their palms but be left standing. For them to be broken and pulled out of the ground shows you just how powerful this storm really was. What an amazing video. My prayers are with the people.

James 1:13📕When under trial, let no one say: “I am being tried by God.” For with evil things God cannot be tried, nor does he himself try anyone. 📕14 But each one is tried by being drawn out and enticed by his own desire. ** Biblical Explanation: False religion has “exchanged the truth of God for the lie.” (Romans 1:25) For example, most religions have not taught their followers God’s name. However, the Bible says that God’s name must be used. (Romans 10:13, 14) Some religious leaders say that when something terrible happens, it is God’s will. But that is a lie. God is never the source of evil. (Read James 1:13.) Sadly, religious lies have pushed people away from God.!! God does not cause bad things to happen. Does he, though, incite others to commit vile deeds? Not at all. “When under trial,” state the Scriptures, “let no one say: ‘I am being tried by God". Why? Because “with evil things God cannot be tried, nor does he himself try anyone.” (James 1:13) God does not try, or test, anyone by inciting him to behave badly. God neither causes bad things to happen nor incites others to do what is bad. Who or what, then, is to blame when bad things happen? ...This spirit is called satan the devil, the original serpent.

Standing outside in the face of winds that are tearing off roofs is not 'top notch' or a 'great experience'. It's lunatic. You could easily get impaled or decapitated by something flying. @@9UaYXxBIt seems like the reason they're doing this sort of journalism isn't for thrills, or because of idiocy. This footage helps people who are not in the path of such horrific natural disaster to better understand exactly what happened, and how helpless the people who will suffer from this catastrophe are. And as a result it might lead some people to actually want to help the recovery effort. That's just my take on the purpose behind these folks being there to record the impact and the aftermath.

The differnce being, South Florida learned alot after Hurricane Andrew and have since been shoring up its infrastructure since then. Florida building code has made hurricanes a lot less destructive. But you can't stop mother nature. Hurricane Ian proved that. Ian swallowed an entire city and coast line and the riverbanks from Sarasota to Marco Island . Do this day, the locals say it was a 4.9
Me in jamaica praying for better. Keep safe my family.
Thank you for posting this. Could not fathom the strength of this without your input 🫣
Wow great filming incredible to see how extremely powerful this thing was and it’s still super powerful 155mph winds on the brink to a category 5
