Hunting For Terrorists In The Philippines

The battle for Marawi may be coming to an end but the next frontier in the fight against terrorism in Southeast Asia has shifted to more remote areas of Mindanao - where Muslim separatist groups have arguably been boosted by what happened in Marawi - and the international support of ISIS.
VICE News Tonight joins a force of Philippines, Malaysian and Indonesian native as they hunt for terrorists.

Because if our policy is to resist the fact we need to prep the infrastructure for new energy sources, and invade countries with oil instead...eventually we are going to encounter a real problem...we're going to need oil from a russian puppet, a Chinese puppet, or an ally, or Russia or China directly...but do you see what I am getting at? That sounds like a lot of heart ache and BULL SHIT that mostly can be avoided by protecting the home land and starting to prepare our infrastructure for an overhaul... we don't need to flex on people if we don't need their shit... The other problem with this eventuality is that this kind of overhaul usually only happens after major war..... we have become too inwardly focused on the wrong types of issues, and not focused on important ones. I think it's because we are capitalist and often times find ourselves very scared to embrace and be the world leaders in change, but instead we like to let others fail and learn from their mistakes, and then come out and be the heroes with our new thing we claimed to invent, but really just improved on your shit...

+M Chaney, are you sure you didn't make a typo with your last name and that it isn't "Cheney"? The US doesn't need to invade nations for oil. You'll probably be surprised to know the US is now it's own largest source of oil and natural gas. It's also now the world's largest producer of both oil and natural gas. It took over the oil spot from Saudi Arabia like 7 or 8 years ago. It's largest importation source of oil? Canada. It's third largest is Saudi Arabia which stands for about 13% of total oil consumed in the US. Everyone else are relatively small players making up about 25% of the rest of the oil consumption in the US, with about 20% of that coming from Latin America. Relative energy independence has been a large focus of the US government for a couple of decades now and it's starting to pay off. This is why fuel remains cheap in the United States but not in 95% of the other Western nations. Not just cheap but extremely cheap comparatively. Russia has some impressive reserves although it's not the oil producing nation you think it is. China isn't an oil power in the slightest. If you want to look at oil-imperialism, China is now public enemy #1. China has vast coal reserves, a big reason for the huge pollution in China because it's so cheap and readily available there that the vast majority of their power plants are coal based. China gets a huge amount of it's resources from Africa and is doing all kinds of shady and downright criminal stuff there.

Learn real history dude, not movies. Such a shame Americans knew our history well much more than Filipinos like you. And not only Americans, but also Spanish people. Sometimes some filipinos use "taglish" (tagalog + english) when communicating verbally in a non formal way since its easier to understand by a foreigner and us alike. Im not an english teacher here in ph. But its not recommended to use taglish in formal letters, paperworks, books etc. Becuase its not gramatically correct both in filipino and english sense. So trying to grammatically correct a taglish senctence may overcomplicate or lenghten the words to be used in asentence instead of making it short and brief. Tbh. Some terms/words in tagalog are way easier to explain it in english.

2 points 1. i dont like her tone when she says how the government allowed what happened in marawi to happen. you cant not prevent a thing like that from happening when for one, theyre being supported by people within the city even some from there having already set their goals; two you cant not just stop a terrorist force at every front in a country like the philippines seeing as how extremists would rather much take up arms and hide in the jungles (the government having to spend more away from civilian expenditures, working in a poor country like what the guy said, and having to instead put it into arms, resulting of more poverty and lesser room for improvement, since coming up with resolutions in the past have amounted (plus all the other grievances) to nothing while the world shifts birthing isis movements furthering their agendas on a global scale and kicking the country while it's down even more / the hiding bit btw or the guerilla warfare being somewhat of a culture in the philippines since the katipuneros as people fight for what they believe in, though at a minus is the lack of dialogue and actual recognition of the ethics of their pursuits through blind use of arms instead although i dont this is the case of all groups perhaps more so just being the result of a lack of due attention, but for the case of many there is no big forward of reasonable justification along with what they do as what they do) than just rally and do hate speech (which you can leave that job to collegiate protesters of which many do not forward solutions and well detailed arguments to urgent issues - where i guess they only rarely get what they want being proof of their ineffectiveness - but only complain hating in many instances ad hominem the government), especially when they do not recognize diplomacy - at least in a reasonable sense 2. dunno why she had to bring up the christians and civilians thing, she couldve forwarded a better message had she brought up how muslims were also on the receiving end of the isis assault

This tactic is what is dubbed in the military as Foreign Internal Defence. It is a fundamental Special Forces mission. Special Forces consists of highly trained soldiers that operate in small groups deep inside enemy lines. They learn the culture of the local community to win them over and train them in large numbers. They then designate 2 members to lead the entire militia.
