The 2011 anime is good but i always prefered the original anime, not because of nostalgia, but because of the atmosphere and soundtrack, it's quite possible one of the most entertaining animes i have watched for these reasons, it make me feel immersive in the world of this series.

I agree, plus the original version of Gon was voiced by Junko Takeuchi-the voice of Naruto. I loved how Gon reminded me of Naruto, with a similarly unshakable belief in himself, kind heart, and unwavering loyalty to his friends.

I can't believe I'm 30 too 😢 I grew up watching HxH and it was a huge part of my childhood. I miss my old life, friends and my home country. Now everything is just dead in my eyes.

Dude, 2011 was great and has its own charm (Leorio's theme is dope) but I genuinely think 1999 is just better. I think the beginning of 2011 was rushed (I've heard that's why Kite wasn't initially introduced) but it made all the difference for me and I actually enjoyed most episodes of 1999, in comparison to 2011 which was good _overall_ but always had me bored for at least a bit of every arc (which is weird because 1999 was a lot slower in its progression). I definitely prefer the old soundtrack, but that's not dissing 2011 because there are some tracks in the 2011 I really like, particularly Hyori Ittai, some of the Chimera Ant arc soundtrack was pretty stunning and Departure is ear candy to me, no matter how many times they play it.

Supongo que el anime del 2011 es un "remake" en vez de una continuación por temas de derechos. De hecho es la razón por la que no podían adaptar ciertas escenas famosas que están en la versión de 1999 es porque justamente son creaciones originales del primer estudio y Madhouse no podía tocarlas. Supongo que si hubiese sido diferente tal vez en vez de volver a contar lo mismo habrían seguido el anime original.
