I honestly wish the 2011 OST was a lot more like this, it felt much more iconic and fitting for the setting.

The totality of the 1999 version reflected the reality of the world they lived in; soundtrack, animation, dialog, and voice actors. They are surrounded by death, suffering, life altering situations, and, simultaneously, love. The happy-go-lucky attitude of 2011 Gon and Killua kinda ruins it :/

Hopefully in the anime adaptation of dark continent arc in the future, it'll be giving the similar vibes as whole 1999 version

the 1999 ost fits the setting of the story more. even the animation imo. i just love the aesthetic, the color palette and the overall atmosphere the 1999 version have

1999 hxh is peak I prefer it to the 2011 And I love 2011 but 1999 is definition of dark and peak
