8:22 there are some theories, but none are proven. These theories include reused facepieces, or super early production 75Ms (I have an example, and its dated 1968)

My 75M is actually like yours as well. Has the Gold/Brass looking eyepieces rather than the metal ones

The film at the start of the video was made later than 1984. i lived in Budapest in 1975 to 1979 where my dad served. A szovjet időkben magyarul tanult, amikor ez meglehetősen népszerűtlen volt. When I was a kid I used to play with 75M masks and 70M filters. My father brought them home from the military, they were made in 1990. I think I wore them for hours over the course of a few weeks. Should I be worried?

If you used them when the filters were really old than I’d be worried but I’m guessing your dad probably wouldn’t bring home old filters so i think you’re alright

Slightly unrelated question: Do you know a method to make discolored soviet masks white (or at least cleaner looking) again?

When they got UV damage, there is no way back unfortunetly... it is complicated

If originally mask was white and then yellowed - alas, no way. You can't get rid of Sulfur from rubber. Surface whitening - 70+% Hydrogen peroxide... But that's... Dangerous substance. Count it as unobtanium - or employ your own chem lab.

As I told you on facebook, the Rh140 designation is not real, my friend that came with that stupid name confirmed that it is a wrong one. Again, as I told you, it's designation is simply head wound mask, and no, I don't do videos about masks that I do not own, this one is almost impossible to find. Please stop calling it RH140.

@@RobertCBRN Sizing was in accordance to standards "СЭВ", what Istvan stated. The same sizing (measuring) standards were accorded to all Eastern Bloc(k) gas masks, independently where particular one was made.
