    - Wrestlemania 1 was built as a platform for Hogan - Survivor Series was introduced in 1987 to further capitalize on the success of Hogan/Andre from Wrestlemania 3 (Hogan & Andre captained opposing teams in the main event) - Royal Rumble was introduced in 1988 to promote the Hogan/Andre rematch on NBC (Hogan/Andre contract signing happened during the event, & the rematch was the most watched pro wrestling show in history at 33 million viewers). - & Summerslam was introduced in 1988 to blowoff the Hogan/Andre feud with a final main event tag match. Hogan & Andre built ALL of that.

I know I saw a pic of him awhile ago & he looked frail, skinny even. That being said I was never a fan, even in his prime I found his matches boring, repetitive & cartoonish. I was a kid & preferred the stars like Roddy Piper, Jake The Snake & Macho Man. Years later that opinion hasn't changed & when he faced The Rock at WrestleMania people made a huge deal of it. I would have asked him about his massive height loss since his peak, due to all his surgeries. He used to be a legit 6'6" man barefoot. He looks to be at best 6'2" today, if not slightly under that. He's not alone however. MANY pro wrestlers lost several inches of height due to back, hip, knee and neck fusion.

That looks like a Mini-Martin in the background, which is what my guitar is; but mine has a black nut. If it's a regular-sized Martin, then those blinds are enormous. The Mini has a punchier sound than a full-sized acoustic, and it's neck is about the size of an electric's neck, making it easier for me to play. I love my Mini-Martin. The bridge is messed up a bit now, so it has a buzz to it, which sounds kinda like distortion, so that's cool. I want to get another one that sounds clean, and I want to hook up microphones and various pickups to it so I can dial in an ideal sound for plugging it into an amp, but that's a bit expensive considering it's not my top priority; maybe I'll prioritize it though; I'd like to get into writing and recording music again. Yeah, I know this is off topic, but I'm pretty sure that's a Mini, and the Mini is close to my heart.

It's one of the best Hulk Hogan interviews ever! No questionable BS from him. Except being over 300 Lbs at age 69 lol. Nothing self-serving from him overall. It's impossible to do a Mount Rushmore of top wrestlers, if limited to just 4. There are just too many eras and intangibles. But Harley Race, Bruno Sammartino, & Jerry Lawler are good arguments for any Mt. Rushmore on top of the ones mentioned by all in this interview.

Andre the Giant was a super star. back in the late 70's but didnt realy get main stream like hogan . Hogan was a literal fire works show and became a house hold name by the early 80s. and pretty much took over as the WWF icon of all time. But hes right Andre did set the path and made wrestling an attraction due to his size,. Hogans fame over shadowed all wrestlers so the early 80s era is remembered for hulkamania for the most part

If you were a kid in the 80s and 90s, Hulkamania was a big deal. I got to see the tail end of it due to my age. I know Hulk is known to tell a few tales here and there, but at his heart Terry is a decent guy. People can nay say, and that's fine. Everyone has an opinion. But the people who grew up during Hulkamania don't care about the tabloids. Hulk was their childhood hero.
