I can not believe you covered the side of block which is very useful to create round shapes. But if you need just few holes in centre of block then fine.))))))))) Thx for video.

Nice! You may want to dampen that super loud noise for the sake of everyone's hearing - how about putting sand in the legs when you add the bolt-downs? Some supporting wood strips under the block itself might help too as previously suggested.

And I thought my swage block was heavy! Damn, 520 pounds is a monster. Good to see you have the engine crane handy.

Very nice block! And nice stand build. I have a swage block I us quite a bit (good bit smaller than yours). I need to build a metal stand for mine. Have it on a cut out log right now. I use the sides of mine though so I will need to build in a middle channel or side shelf for it. Thanks for the ideas.

Seems you need some kind of over head inshop crane system at this point. Would make a really cool project i think. Something ive wanted to see done personally since ive seen one on video.

You're gonna want some sound damping on that soonest, though bolting it down will help a bit. Maybe some wooden wedges around the outside to keep it rigid in the confines of the table? Not sure. Nice job on that though, serviceable fabrication on that table.

Nice score Paul!! I had a 15" square 4" thick Swage block gifted to me by my retired Brother in law. They are super handy to have for drifting. Mine isn't as heavy as yours, and I built the stand so it can be turned on edge , although I've only used it that way once. Too dang heavy to be flipping it😮

That looks really loveley to work with. waht i am asking my self is: How could you reduce the amount of noice that is made? I Think the really ... well nerv racking sound is that the block vibrates on the metal of the stand. Waht would happen, if you lay down a thin layer of rubber just under the edge. Not so thick that it would absorb some power, but just to stop the block from vibraiting so mutch. I guess that would change the sound a lot. Really a loveley pice of eqipment!

0.250 x 3 x 3 Angle, hot rolled, base might be enough.... but how,.... to use the other forms on edge, could it be supported ?? Trunnion ??? Perhaps a large diameter pin,... on a short threading of shaft.... to pivot it to an open edge on the table .... ??? Also ... instead of bolting down... just give the feet some slippers... cutouts from a used tire.

It would be quieter if you had wood between the block and the frame.

I Like your skills and videos. But PLEASE be careful moving heavy items. I am a 30 year practicing Chiropractor and have seen way to many young men permanently disabled from work pushing and pulling, especially quickly, heavy objects. Please all you workers be safe. I know it is often interrupting, but get some help so you can work till you are an Old Man.
