Putting back to work this 80kg (176lbs) cast iron swage block.
Stand design to use the swage block in both orientation is based of many other I've seen on-line like@skullandspade to name one: kzread.info/dash/bejne/oZOVpZqGYbnVkbg.html
Retractable wheels is my design, so of course it could be better, even just by spacing out the wheels a bit more.

Between the lifting/rolling mechanism and the quick turn for use of the sides, this was ingenious! Well done
I loved the easy lifting and moving system! Very well done, as always. Complimenti!
I'm not expert on that but I would imagine if you would have used wood it would have been more effective at vibration control it appears that your platform is shaking too much and making a great deal of vibrations and wood is a very good at stopping such things from happening
That was awesome man! Great job!👍

Yeah!
Very nice stand, I like how you can go from a nice solid stand to a moveable one.
Nice swage. You can get some real work done on that beauty! And the stand... Well done.
I worked in healthcare for 32 years, the last half in clinical research; even got my name on a couple research papers. But if I had it all to do over again, I'd be a Blacksmith.. I'm serious.

Grass is always greener on the other side. Haha I know what your saying though. But you probably wouldn't have made the difference it sounds like you have had as a healthcare researcher if you had been a blacksmith. Not saying a blacksmiths work isn't important...

I'm a retired heavy equipment operator, made myself a brake drum forge (with the help of some youtube videos) a few years ago and with a chunk of iron my father gave twenty five years ago for an anvil, I started heating and beating iron. You can too.
COOL LIFTING TRICK
Great job using the pulley from the front load washing machine!
Uh, is anyone else worried about the four hands sequence??? Blackbeard, are you secretly an alien?

lol 😁👍
Прекрасная вещь для ковки 👍👍👍. Только нужно придумать механизм для лёгкого его переворачивания
Идея с колëсами это супер 👍
Seems like you're tig welding in such a way that you chase the torch hand with the filler hand... Try doing the opposite, lead the puddle and move from right to left, holding the torch in your right, adding filler as you go 😁. I'm sure it'll greatly improve the look and quality of the welds
The wheel/lift.... 👍🏻 very creative! Liked the dual welding scenes too.
Hey mate with your tig welding try “pushing” rather than dragging when go along 😊 always look forward to your projects

You beat me to it by 9 minutes. Pushing is definitely the better way to go.

@@oh8wingman yea tig isnt supposed to be dragged at all It'll dirty the tungsten really easily and make it hard to add to the puddle

I am a noob...what time yall talking about?
Best stand set up I have ever seen , And the lift and wheel idea first class mate . :). :)
Soaking it in Muriatic acid for an hour or two is faster & less work. Or you can always use molasses (10% + 90% water to your container size& its safe to put down the drain) & let it sit for 2-3 weeks....rinse of & use a toothbrush. It'll come out black as coal but the rust will be dead forever as long as you protect it from moisture.
Watching you work is such a joyful thing to do. I wish you well and I look forward to more of your wonderful content!!

You have found a treasure! A wonderful thing. By the way, I can advise you. When there is a lot of dust during cleaning, I substitute the vacuum cleaner and it saves, it is very old but 75% does its job! Good luck to you! Like.
Very nice job. It turned out very well there. Hopefully you get great use out of it my friend. Keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work my friend. Design on. Fab on. Weld on. Forge on. Keep making. God bless.
What an ingenious way to get it rolling! Very cool!

Every time I watch this guy I'm forced to try some new metal work. Inspiration/motivation
You put a lot of faith into one piece of all-thread
You have many great tools sir..
Sweet and Simple project brother! Loved it 😀🇺🇸💙
Another great video! Ingenious stand design and build. Thanks for sharing!
Супер вышло! Особенно механизм с колесиками. Молодец!!!!
The rollers on the stand and pretty cool.
Even though I have zero need for such a shop setup, I have to applaud your efforts and project all the same. Nice design and execution... Thumbs Up!
Not cleaning the mill scale for the tig welding is killing me lol. Still works if you don't but its been drilled into my head to clean surfaces thoroughly for tig. I'm jealous of that swage, looks like an amazing find.
мне кажется нужно приварить маленькую вертикальную ручку к колесу которое регулирует высоту- так будет удобнее крутить
I could smell the rust as you were cleaning it, good job.
Excellent work. I like the creative way you made it movable
Pretty clever stand design.
Absolutely GENIUS
What was stuck in that one hole in your swage block that you decided to leave?
@BlackBeardProjects
3 жыл бұрын
It's filled by cast iron, a defect of the casting back when it was made.
This swage has swag!
Восхищаюсь, умница!!!
Всегда идеи на высоте!
Awesome restoration brother ❤️❤️❤️
Very smart build!
Espectacular! Saludos desde Argentina!!!
That’s awesome 👏
Ingenious stand! Nice job.
Idk why I’m watching this but good stuff lol
Nicely done ✔

A very clever design for your stand, well done.
Impressive on building the table,👍👍👍😎😎😎
Your center dolly wheel /jack system ...I LIKE..!!
Brilliant. Well done, sir.
The wheels were cleverly made, well done
really clever construction 👍👍👍
Awesome video and the stand is genius!
Ingenious!
Freaking awesome. Brilliant.
Stick a piece of glass on top tell people it's an expensive designer side table 😝🔨
Brilliant!!! cheers!!
Awesome video bro, I would give my right eye for an awesome swage like that. But that stand you built is some fantastic engineering in itself.
Great stand, BTW. You have the nicest floor I ever seen in a blacksmithing shop!!! 😊
Very clever stand!
Love it , your skills are excellent, watch your finger with that swage 😂😂👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🙏🏻
great !!! 😳 👍
That is cool as hell
Very cool Idea with the Table, I like it very much. 😍
Excelente!
Mil gracias por el video y la idea Dios lo bendiga amen.
...LOOKIN' GOOD, KEEP SAFE..
Good job man.
I need to get my eyes checked. I read that as SEWAGE BLOCK, not swage block. So I watched it to see just what were you going to do with and what was a sewage block... LOL Well done! A swage block is definitely more usable than a sewage block.
interesting project👍
Very nice indeed! Looks like it could also be a finger masher extraordinaire!
What a super great workshop - hurrah
Fantastic stand with a design from a great man indeed! @Brett McAffee is the man!
Nice job, I’m gonna steal the trolley set up.
I’m pretty sure you have the fanciest flooring of all the KZread blacksmiths. 😃

Fantastic
Congratulations on the lifting system, great idea. I follow you, keep it up. SL
Wow, muy bueno
Good job my friend well done
