FYI: The black dots on the books are called remainder marks. Books get those when stores have them as overstock or aren’t selling due to slight damage, so they sell them back to the publishers for credit. The publishers then put the remainder marks on the books (to make sure they don’t get returned again for a second credit), and are then sold to discounters (such as Book Outlet) which in turn sell them for cheap prices.

A little tip for trying to get into classics. Read along in the book while listening to the audiobook. I feel I understand them more, especially the Jane Austen types. I started doing that and I've read so many classics and enjoyed them.

I love Stephen King! I have never seen a movie made from his books because I think it can't compare with the way he writes a thriller. My favourite one so far is Billy Summers🤗

I'm dying to read one his books to see how the righting is compared to some movies they have to be so good !! The only one that I can imagine being equal is cujo lol even as an adult that movie was mad so well being that it's literally an entire movie based on a rabid dog 😂

I didn’t like pride and prejudice 😂😂😂 but open to trying more of hers!

The Legendborn Cycle is my favourite series on this planet. I have read Legendborn three times and Bloodmarked twice. I will be rereading them AGAIN next year in preparation for Oathbreaker (the third book) and I recently bought the first two as paperbacks so I can keep my hardcovers pristine and I can annotate my favourite parts in the paperbacks!

SO many amazing-sounding books! 😍 “The Great Gatsby” is my all-time favorite classic book. Sometimes I’ll just read random pages of it, or one line over and over, because the writing is so beautiful. F. Scott Fitzgerald spins magic with words. ♥️

Yay for Stephen King! I’m a huge SK fan, I have all his books. Holly is so good!! I forget if he talks about her past in “Holly” but she is a recurring character in a few of his books. She was first introduced in his Bill Hodges Trilogy, and then again in the stand-alone The Outsider (highly recommend, it’s crime / horror / mystery type book), and she was in a short story in his novella If It Bleeds. There’s no need to read all of that first, just enjoy Holly tbh, but I wanted to mention it just in case. Also if you ever want to try more Stephen King I’d recommend 11/22/63, Billy Summers, The Institute, Fairy Tale, and then maybe go for some of his older stories if it peaks your interest. I’ll quit yapping now, happy reading!! ✌🏻💛

This is sooo fun & I love seeing all the books you purchased or were given. Book Outlet online is everywhere, but I haven’t had the best luck with them. Your books seem great! @@jaimefok They were just much more worn or damaged and tossed around in the box. It was a few years ago though, and I remember hearing about a few people complaining about the condition of their books, so I’m wondering if they made some changes.

I've never read a Stephen King book, yet, but I would go that route. But, that is most likely because I'm not a big romance girly. I can handle a bit, but it is not my go to. I'm currently reading another Jaime Jo Wright book and sometimes I find the romance in those books to be annoying, but then I warm up to it. So, maybe one day I'll warm up to romance books.

I personally wouldnt start with Holly because its the backstory of a main character in another Stephen king trilogy called Mr. Mercedes. I recommend Billy Summer or 11/22/63, those are stand alones 😊

LOL I KNOW I WANT TO READ THAT ONE. I actually saw it on book outlet but it only came in a box set that included two of her other books that I already have. But I know I need to read this at some point 😂❤️

I love gallant. Just warning you, it reads a bit like children's horror lol similar vibe to Coraline. I don't think it's actually children's, I think I just got that vibe because it's about a child who thinks and acts like a child but with a lot of dark elements or more adult issues surrounding the child.
