Good review. totally agreed with you. I just bought my p30 weeks ago. compare with my wife mate 20, i noticed color in mate 20 are more punctual while p30 looks dull, pale and yes greeny. Disappointed since i thought P stand for photography and should produce better photos.

I always keep it on since it's so helpful not to over or under exposing the image. I can't think it situations where I need it off.

You made me buy the mate 20 :) I am currently doing an Asian trip, pictures from the mate 20 are amazing but I'm thinking about buying the P30 pro for the zoom and the 40 megapixel captor. What do you think about it? Other question : I always have blur in selfie mode with my mate 20 so when I have a landscape behind me, we can't see the details... Is it possible to do something with this? Thanks a lot, keep going with you vidéos!

If you really find yourself zooming a lot then maybe it's worth it. For most ppl it's not worth upgrading. Is your selfie mode in portrait? I would double check if theres no effects on when taking the picture. And thanks for watching!

Mate 20 battery lasts longer but I prefer the P30 camera and smaller form factor.

Thanks for the video about the Mate20 vs the P30 Pro not much video about the standard versions of these two devices. I own a Mate20 I must say there is a thin hairline difference in daylight and artificial lighting situations. The P30 only standouts in Night mode. Everything else is a draw. Maybe the Mate20 will have far better camera. Until then mate 20 is my best friend.

Both are good, just about the same experience but the screen size. I like the p30 more cause it feels more comfortable in my hands. But that may be different for you.

Both are really good and about the same. The P30 has more zoom and smaller. That's about it as the biggest difference for everyday use

Daniel, what about the details of the picture itself? Because supposedly Mate 20 is 12mp while P30 is 40mp. Nice video btw, keep it up.

this was super helpful, ty! i recently bought the s10 but after a few days of using it i've decided to switch to the mate 20. the front facing camera on the s10 is super zoomed in (irreparably, apparently) and the night mode is....meh. seems the mate 20 suits my needs and style a lot more.

Hi Daniel Sin, can i ask whats the best settings you have to do on p30 so it can take sharp and best photos? I just bought a p30 less than a week, and i expected so much on its camera since its a p30 series and its a flagship of huawei. But i dont know why everytime i try to use my camera and take some sample shots, it wont give me a great sharp images that i expected, especially indoors (never tried much yet outdoors) and like from what i see on some of its reviews on youtube. I dont know if its just me or there's really something going on, on my p30 camera. I wanna make sure, cus theres a 7 day replacement. And btw when i went to mall and tried to compare my p30 deafult cam to the sample display p30 default cam in the mall, its not the same. The color and tone of the camera is just so different. It shouldnt be like that right? Am i having a fake p30 lol sorry im just panicking. Btw i updated to android 10 emui 10, so maybe its something to consider about? Cus sample p30s in mall is still on Android 9. Thankyou so much. I hope you respond since you're the only reviewer who focus a lot more on p30 for the past monthsss

I have mate 20 pro and I also have emui 10... I believe that emui 9 camera was little better than emui 10..so maybe that was the problem so don't worry..

@@jela9706 yes but and at the emui 10 you can take nice pictures.. In order to help you I would advice you to take pictures with pro mode with raw in outdoors... Also you can change the color settings from standard to other...And finally try to shoot 40 mp and 10 to see which one you prefer..

Mate / P version are flagship for huawei. Nova also good phone but its categorised as mid rage. So you already know the answer

P30 has that greenish tint to a lot of the photos but it’s more versatile. If you don’t mind editing the green out then p30 is a good choice

Yeah, I think the Mate 20Pro is overall better than the P30 cuz it has a better screen and has stereo speakers while still having 3x optical zoom like the P30.
