3d on mate is better, it works rhrough infra red so you can unlock phone in pitch black darkness

I'm just glad to still see the IR blaster is still available! If you have young kids (and lost remotes) you understand the struggle!

Have had the mate 20 since launch and I love it! Try using the phone on qhd and performance mode oof it's a beast. Even after 5 months it still looks so sexy to me

@@cikalephraim681 definitely wait for the mate 30. The camera still amazes me each time I take a pic, its better than the Samsung s10 plus. Keep the mate 20 untill mate 30 pro. There's not much difference in p30 Pro camera. I myself will probably keep this until mate 40 Pro that's how good it is

Hi, the resolution doesn't affect the battery life.

You should also compare sound properties. Mono speaker of P30 pro is a disappointment for me after stereo speakers of P20 pro and Mate 20 pro.

The sound on the p30 pro mono speaker is actually pretty good. Its good to have the stereo speakers but i cant say that i miss it from my old p20 pro.

The P30s mono speaker is actually better and clearer than the stereo speaker of the mate 20 pro

I missed watching this video. A great job with the attention to detail and interesting break down of these 2phones. I love Samsung but I have to admit that Huawei is giving the competition a run for it's money.

U talked about the notches but no word about the great face ID the mate 20 pro has... Really strange...

I get almost 8 hours on my Mate 20 bro and I use is quite alot but in a normal day it Will last me almost 12 hours. 7 in the Morning to 7 in the evening.

Works really well on the P30 Pro... Demonstration: Doesn't work well...

Position of the fingerprint sensor of mate 20 pro is way better

That depends on how big hands you have and how you are holding the phone etc.

No need to upgrade from m20p. To p30p. Bcoz of updated emui 9.1 m20p got 30x zoom!!

Today i got my p30 pro. Was wondering which one to buy since the release of the p30. There arent big diffefences except the camera which blows away the mate in pretty much every category. Much better zoom, better low Light i mean even without the night Mode Just with the AI, the p30 is producing miracles in low Light. Portrait shots are also better and the front camera too. And i dont know If thats real but i find the p30 pro way more smoother and snappier, even though they have the same chipset and ram. Maybe its sonething with the optimisation.

If you are into photography then P30 PRO is better for you. P stands for PHOTOGRAPHY.. Although MATE 30 has good camera but P30 Pro has better upgrade of camera..

everyone complain about the resolution but 99% of people use th FHD anyway for battery save and because there is almost zero visual difference. Most people strunggle to separate real 4k from fhd on 55inhes tv, how the heck think could they see the difference in 6inches from 1080 to 1440? lol. What about a better panel, is the right question, since the samsung's s10+ screen even in fhd is crispier than mate's 20 pro with higher res

The P30 Pro in Canada has 6GB w 128 storage, the 256 version is the 8GB version so that really would not be considered the base version

I've actually had both phones. I bought a P30 Pro, but it seemed unreliable, glitchy, and I was very disappointed in the screen quality. I now use the Mate, and I can confirm the camera is much better on the P30 Pro. However, one reason why I no longer use the P30 Pro is because of how long it took to actually take a photo. Much faster on the Mate. The Mate doesn't have the best fingerprint scanner, but the bigger notch houses all the face unlock tech. Sometimes I wish I still had the P30 Pro, but I was able to find a good second hand deal on the Mate for much cheaper.

There's also one big difference between these phones. The Mate series has more LTE bands than the P series Huaweis have.

I personally think that 1080+ is too low for such a big phone. Especially with this weird sub-pixel layout. I’ve seen this thing in real and the screen was pretty good. But not much better (in resolution) than my iPhone 7 which just has a 750p display. But after I checked out the P30pro I took a look at the S10+. And this screen is something else. The higher resolution is noticeable to me. And of course Samsungs colors are more beautiful. They clearly are manufacturing the most stunning displays! So in conclusion: 1080+ is too low for such a big phone.

GNORK_tech you did know right that most television out there with 30-40 inch screen size still rocking a Full HD resolution right? So I think Full HD 1080p display setup in a phone with only 6-7 inch of screen is more than good enough. It's not your IPhone or P30 Pro screens that are bad, it's just the s10+ screen is very good it outshines both of the device.

Nadzif Amin I know. But these flagship phones are getting more and more expensive. The P30pro is the least expensive with about 800-900€ (Austria) in comparison to the Galaxy and iPhones. But there shouldn’t be a „downgrade“ in comparison to the previous model (Mate 20pro) Also you can get a cheep 4K TV for ~400€ and a good one for ~700€. That’s why I think 1440+ should become the norm in smartphones. Sometimes I hate apple because they decided that 750p on a 2016 flagship would be enough. I can’t say that I can count pixels but It’s visible to me that this resolution is WAY less than 1080p. And with bigger phones you need higher resolutions. >>If you want a good phone but don’t want to pay too much money build it with a good screen. If you want a top notch phone build it only with top of the top hardware.

Even if it had 4k display then the s10+ would still have a better display. I usually dont notice the 1080+ on my p30 pro unless i compare them side by side. And even if it had QHD+ display i would set it to 1080+ to get more out of the battery

If your into camera just choose P30.. But if you prefer casual with good camera then go to MATE 30.. By the way P stands for PHOTOGRAPHY that's why P30 PRO has greater heights in photography.

Why would anyone want a fingerprint sensor at the bottom where you need to stretch your finger when you can have it at a natural position just below the middle of the screen

In my country mate 20 pro with 6gb of ram costs 598€ while p30 pro with 8gb ram costs 518€ and I actually got one 2 weeks ago because it is a no brainer to go for the mate 20 pro.My friend has a mate 20 pro and we used to compare them the first couple of days I bought my p30 and the resolution between the two is bearly noticeable while the camera on p30 pro is WAY better than the oversaturated pictures the mate 20 pro takes...P30 pro easily wins.

Huawei p30 pro problems: it wobbles when you touch it on any surface and sometimes and I repeat SOMETIMES creates a weird yellowish look on your photos Huawei mate 20 pro problems: has really bad speakers and has a slightly worse battery and camera than the p30 pro

Damn it dude. You blather on about "the notch" and don't mention that the reason it's there is because it houses the facial recognition sensor - which the P30 doesn't have ! The P30 is much more insecure and doesn't have true 3D facial recognition like the P20. EMUI 9.1.x has been out on the P20 for AGES too ! The camera and battery life on BOTH phones sucks. I don't know why reviewers always say the opposite ? Noone ever mentions the immense lag between pressing the button and the photo being taken ! And that the camera drains the battery faster than Stormy Daniels drained Trump's balls.

Why you keep saying the same thing over and over and over . It's kind annoying for viewrs just saying

If ur priority is camera buy P30 pro If ur priority is to get small notch and cheaper cost but doesnt care about performace buy P30 If ur priority is performance and lower cost than P30 but doesnt care much about camera buy MATE 20 PRO If u just want an ok phone buy MATE 20
