Do you have an S9?Is there a possibility to be an app problem or root?Have you tried to factry reset?I am not a Samsung fan but I don't think they make bad devices.It is true that the Note is a beast in many aspects but the S line is too overrated.

Great, just what I've been waiting for :) As expected both perform greatly, but Sammy has some uncomfortable delay between taps and app opening from the background on the second run. Other than that both are top performers, can't wait to see the comparison with the iPhone X as well :D

HTC is surely the Porsche of smartphones, excellent built quality, performance, sound, innovation and etc

Re-watching this a year later. The Android 9 update was huge for the U12 Plus, bringing improved performance and changes to the camera. Still photos from the U12 Plus are now more detailed than photos from the iPhone 11 (with deep fusion, no less), and the Note 10+.

High Tech Traveler I tot this channel is e HOT than COOL. - Esp speaking of the Overheating of Snapdragon Processor's LOL.... ;) Love the U12+ though & im probably buying one! Its not HTC's fault Qualcomms Snapdragon have heating issues...

My S7 edge with the new 8.0 update lag so much now, I can't even open the Google map without lagging. I have to wait 3-4 seconds for the map to load. The phone was running fine when I first bought it but after updates the phone just keeps getting lag and more lag. Samsung aren't sending out update, they sent out lagdate. Multitasking overlaying on this phone? Feel like eternity opening apps. Buy a Samsung if you enjoy lag on your phone.

I was not sure about the U12 Plus, but now that I have it I'm loving it. For me, the buttons have turned out to be pretty good, and I enjoy being able to feel the response to them even through my pocket or in a fat case. The BoomSound speakers are better than the U11 (I'll admit it!), and they sound like normal stereo speakers with good balance between left and right in landscape mode. Having a camera that can go toe-to-toe with the Pixel is the icing on the cake.

Can you please make a sound test with them both? They have the same kind of stereo style.

Evenrhoug i see some minor human error htc u12 is the clear winner interms of speed

i love how sense has a clean feeling kinda like stock Android but this htc u12 plus is a beast with this chip 845🤯 the only reason i dont get pixel phones its because it doesnt have what htc is good at great sound quality and micro sd card option plus htc has a better price and gives you more but i pre-ordered htc u12 plus with 128G in translucent blue i think i be satisfied with this one

samsung slow to react to screen presses. i find the same issue with my S7edge

Overall video good but to make it equal you need to turn down or off the animation speed on the s9 plus because htc has shorter animations. In the RAM section the only delay for the s9 is animations.

Is that true, about squeeze feature problem which other youtubers are saying about U12+?

High Tech Traveler yeah the three full reviews I've seen for the phone say the digital "buttons" and Edge Sense are the largest blight on human kind. I'm curious if they haven't been as terrible in your experience.

High Tech Traveler I think Mr. Mobile and 2 more reviewers mentioned that squeeze function isn’t working as expected with issue like wrong apps opening. Edit: MKBHD also just mentioned it in his new review about U12+.

will need to talk to Mr Mobile about that. Edge Sense works just as good as it did last year. Have not had issues with the wrong apps opening. The buttons are ok, not anything to write home about. It can feel weird not having hardware buttons, and I personally love a nice clicky buttons. I'd definitely prefer if it HTC had brought back the buttons of the HTC 10.

Im debating between this two not cause speed but there both good phones i pre order the htc u12 and i hate waiting and galaxys9plus is all ready out for sale and another thing that worries me last year i bought the htc ultra and they lack on oreo update last year just for the htc u ultra but htc 10 got it first while the u ultra was more expensive they lack on software update and that makes me want to buy the a galaxy s9 plus.Now my question would that happen again to this htc u12 plus flagship phone? The lack in software update? Will they update faster?

The HTC U Ultra was a mistake from the very beginning. HTC has stated that they released it simply because they thought the could capitalize on the Galaxy Note 7 fiasco. The HTC U12+ is a true flagship device for HTC which means it'll be the first device from them to get the newest software updates. I don't know when that will be, but HTC has typically released updates for major versions of Android 2-3 months before Samsung does.

ok, but there is one fundamental question, how bright is the screen in u12. Some people say it is dark. I have htc m8 and htc 10. Screen in 10 is darker than screen in m8. So if u12+ have darker screen then 10...it means in the sun you can see nothing.

Have not had any overheating issues while recording 4k video at 60fps.

They open up the same, except that HTC registers click on app faster because pressure sensitive buttons..I think.

Is the s9+ use theme? It looks some lag

It has been a long time since I used a Samsung smartphone but they always lagged vs others due to Touchwiz. It seems like they are still a bit slower than the other Android manufacturers.

Nice test, HTC is as always better.

If the speed was the same, I'd say both phones still have unique features. For the S9, it's wireless charging, better sunlight visibility, MST emulation with Samsung Pay. For the U12, it's Boomsound speakers, Usonic headphones, no curves or rounded screen corners to detract from movie watching, being able to record video with 3D surround sound or hi-res audio zoom. USonic alone is amazing, but audio zoom lets the sound follow the camera zoom, and you can record things you can't on any other phone. I've recorded things far away while people were talking right next to me (almost touching), and in the video you can't hear the people talking.

Still love my HTC 10, planning upgraded to 12+ :-D
