Pretty cool. Anything to differentiate among all the indistinct glass sandwiches. Wondering why so many manufacturers think we don't like red phones here in the US though. Would have liked to have that option.

HTC is so underrated, I always loved there design. No notch so they can add dual speakers and dual cam. As always good design seriously underrated...

HTC got the best sound system out there, best launcher and built quality. So people that underestimate HTC shoot their own feet. I would choose HTC top model ahead of any IPhone or Samsung or any mobile.

As a Samsung user who had been using Apple lets be fair, S8 is only a year old brilliant mobile that it is.. HTC lost their way like Nokia and want to fight for their place in the market.

No notch, best design in the game, no compromise on specs. This is HTC's road back to the top

Back in the old days HTC was the best you can buy. Nowadays they don't even get noticed. They don't even sell that great anymore. LG beats HTC in sales. And samsung pretty much owns both LG and HTC

I have been a HTC user for years and I'm happy that finally HTC came up with something worthy of replacing my HTC 10.

Not sure why but I am on love with translucent backs like this! I would love a gradient coloured, (like p20 pro) translucent version.

I am glad. Miezu 15 pro and HTC U 12+ are two of my favourite devices from 2018. :D

Excellent phone as all other HTC flagships. Had the legendary htc one m8 still performs excellent after 4 years of super heavy use and then I bought the htc u11 October 2017 and it's an excellent and gorgeous phone and absolutely love the super loud speakers and the futuristic Edge Sense.

Love HTC ,I'm still using my m9 and it's still great

Solid phone by HTC. I'm not their biggest fan but I think they have done well here. Glad it has not silly notch. Review should give a little more praise that it has good stereo speakers and good included headphones.

Love the design.

Every Company is into software trickery and marketing them but here HTC is trying different things with hardware and I'm a fan of their pressure sensitive buttons which is quite unique....

The technology under the buttons is cool. I like to much.

HTC should start supporting last year's flagships...my u11 has not seen any update for security patch...since Nov/17

Shawn Orjiakor I totally disagree. Security patch updates, is more important. My phone was fine with 7.1 and is also fine with 8.0 I want to be as secure as possible, and htc is not doing anything about it.

I think this could be my next phone. Close to stock android, no nonsense feature set or Bixby buttons, not too utilitarian looking or overly showy. If it had wireless charging I'd order today, I miss using my wireless chargers I bought to use with my Nexus 4 (!)

Android phones nowadays are in a very tight spot. You need something really unique to win customers over. The pIxel @ has the camera and OS, The S9 has the screen & history, OnePlus has the price and bargain. My point is they are all so good, and you just need something to really stand out

Man, the back finish is so beautiful. Just like the U11, HTC has that back design on lock now.

HTC U11+ user , as always, htc puts tons of specs in their phones!

If it had a 3.5mm jack I'd buy it. Call me old fashioned.

PERIOD. One of the best flagships to date. If it had front facing speakers and a jack and price tag is $700 then it's easily the best phone right now along with S9

U11+ had a huge 3930mAh battery, thats gone now. Front facing speakers, gone for a long time now. HTC, nicely done.

The boca effect where you can edit after the picture was taken is very similar to the effect you could do on the htc one m8 when you could edit focus points and stuff i like that they are bringing that back for the main camera

I've ad HTC phones exclusively through Sprint for about 10 years now. Sad to see Sprint is not on the list of carriers. Also, really no wireless charging yet? I'm ready for an upgrade too, but sadly looks like a Galaxy may be in my future since no Sprint support. Too bad, I love HTC phones too. Oh well.

I wish these companies would use the 'squeeze' feature to improve palm rejection on these ultra thin bezel phones instead of just acting like an extra button. The phone could know whether or not you meant to tap a certain corner by registering the pressure level of the phone's edge there.

with 700$ price tag they would bury OEMs like Samsung, LG and others 😁 and this phone will compete well against the likes of Note 9, Pixel 3, V40 and etc while being cheaper than them, so I think 800 eur price is not ideal but alright when comparing it to what other OEMs are asking for

Thats bs i always wait a few month. Why would i pre-order? 2 Month later its still the same phone but for a fair Price. I waited 1 month after note 8 release and got it for 200€ less. I know if i want a phone or not but i also know what im willing to pay for it. Being patient just saves you money.

Tho Athome, I would not spend more than 600 euro for a phone or maybe not more than 500, but me and Nirav are not talking about how much we would spend but about the fact that for 700 bucks this phone would attract more attention because of its value and that would increase sales for HTC :)

I have a great feature request for their next flagship phone, guaranteed upgrades of Android until Android Z (or in numbers: a 10 year roadmap). That would be a unique selling point, maybe the only one left for the hightec end market because the phones already have everything and putting a terabyte SD card in it will soon not be enough to justify a 4 digit price.

Sorry can't do a all glass phone . I don't use a case . That's why I jump ship after own htc since the pull out keyboard.. Google pixel 2

Fair play there's no notch, even though i think the One Plus 6 is a beautiful looking phone with a notch, but the HTC needs to have a smaller 'chin' for it to at least look more like the amazing edge to edge displays out there. I absolutely love the back though!
