HP MP9 G4 Retail System

Ғылым және технология

Sort of acts like an EliteDesk 800 but also looks like a ProDesk 600. HP came out with a line of minis for the retail market and this is the G4 variant.

Replace the CMOS baterry - a weak or dead battery can cause a lot o weird booting problems. Also often a good idea to clear/reset the BIOS settings by leaving the battery out for a while to drain the CMOS. The G4 also has a reset jumper.

This family of mini PC can be adicitive to buy. I have 5 that I have purchased since 2020 from the G2 to G4 series. I like your videos since I feel right at home. Perhaps in the future you can make some about possible uses for this machines.

At 3:43 - the POS Keyboard with MSR. Pretty sure MSR stands for Magnet Strip Reader, so, it has an integrated CC strip reader.

I was really baffled with this vPro thing for a while till I looked into the technical details between each of the systems. From my understanding the vPro badge isn't so much of a feature but a package of technologies that act as a guarantee of performance, security and management criteria for companies and business users alike. To qualify for Intel vPro , a system must use a multicore processor from the Core i5, Core i7 or Core i9 families, or a Xeon CPU family and the appropriate chipset. Essentially all the systems in the HP Mini range could qualify as a vPro system. In this case, it would need an i5 processor upgrade
