Ive had no issues with my Hozelock auto reel and Its still going strong after 18 years of almost daily use in both winter and summer use. very robust retracting unit and still has the original hose. worth every penny. reaches garden front and rear and supply's our Jet washer without any issues of pinching.

@@gurugamer8632 No all still works as it did from new and its used a lot. sometimes if Iv'e not opened the gun to allow water to escape it will roll back short of all the way home but thats easily fixed and is my fault not the hose reel. Its gone through some heavy winters to in Manchester but no issues, still the original hose. probably the 12th spray gun!

Just fitted mine and must say what a fantastically easy and fuss free thing it is to use.

Mine is leaky on the inside, I have no idea how to open the reel to fix the leak. Seems to be some sort of proprietary screws

Is it possible to shorten the hose?

How do I change the hose?

I have 3 of them and only one always retracts properly, the other two are temperamental and sometimes only partially retracts. I was wondering of there was some adjustment function? However, reading the negative reviews I'm guessing there isn't.

I find mine retracts better if I turn off the water supply and leave the nozzle on the spray head open to release the pressure as it's rolling back up.

The retraction broke on my hose after 18months Hozelock say they cannot repair it and do not advise any attempt at DIY as it is a Health and Safety issue. They do not supply a spare spring.....

No matter what I try , mine won't rewind fully. In fairness to hozelock, they replaced my original one, same reason. I started thinking I'm doing something stupidly wrong, anyone experienced same ? Any advice ? Thanks guys

Mine don’t retract anymore

these are great, until the spring goes. Im on my 3rd unit replaced under warranty

Great the Mrs has just recently bought one, will be holding onto the guarantee then!

Mine won't retract anymore. Constantly sticking before it locked up all together. Now its pretty useless stuck at about 3m

@@onthedry8386 it's a death trap to open so I just destroyed it and won't buy another. I still use the hose

Worked great for about 12 months and then mechanism broke. I would avoid buying.

Good luck when the auto rewind stops working which it will and its not repairable your stuck with metres of hose all over the place and no way of get it on the expensive reel you bought ....great for a few months then your stuck never again

Hozelock is actually rubbish.

Absolute rubbish, may be last a month
