I played Helplessly Hoping at my dad's funeral last year. RIP David Crosby
David was the Howard Stern of music. He said what was on his mind despite his critics. "Speak out, you got to speak out against the madness." RIP David.

All I think of with Crosby is genuine...he was the real deal in everything he did.. legend
Howard, love you. David Crosby love you, too. You had the balls our generation needed.
That was really touching Howard. Thank you for articulating what a great many of us felt for David, even though we hated some of things he said or did.
David Crosby was earnest, intelligent, driven, complex and confident with a golden voice and a great sense of history that allowed him to create new genres in music. Can a song change the world? I don’t know but he tried.

David was one of the greats! RIP
I got a lump in my throat with Howard Stern talking about his fondness of David Crosby and his music and had no idea he was a fan of CSN&Y.
Such a real, warm, and kind tribute Howard! May we all keep a bit of David Crosby in our hearts and minds. His harmonies and voice with CSNY was masterful. I will surely miss him too…
Well done as always Howard! He was great.
That last clip of him talking about not laying down is the best. Thanks for that tribute.
I cried when I heard the news, as life memories so intertwined with this music flashed across my mind. Thank you for making the music that has been the backdrop for this fan girl’s life. Always listening and loving you. RIP ❤
He was a real menshe! 💜🙋♀️🎤🎵🎸🎼💔
Thanks for the music David and thanks for the memory Howard.
Great tribute Howard. Will miss these two getting together
I cried when I heard
David said it well. Spend your remaining time well
A beautiful tribute of the lifetime of David Crosby was given by Dennis Hopper. In his movie, Easy Rider, Dennis Hopper took on the look of Crosby to play the role of Billy.
He was the VOICE !
Well said, Howard. He was a giant among men. He will be sorely missed.

Classy retrospective, Mr. Stern.
David's new music is excellent. He was part of the social conscience of this country that is seriously lacking now. He will be missed.

It really is, his album "For Free" was phenomenal. I loved the song he did with Donald Fagen of Steely Dan.

The Crosby Cap and Stache. Rock in Peace.
Loved the interview you did with him 2 years ago when he was talking about life ending
David Crosby was an amazing musician!
One of a kind. He will be dearly missed!!
Props to David for the troubadour reference. 98% of modern musicians likely have no clue what that even means.
DejaVu is absolutely one of the best albums ever made. Their harmony alone was the same kind of synergy that The Beatles had. RIP David. ✌️🕊
He learned the hard way, wasting all those years as a junkie, that time is precious. That lesson becomes acute as you get older.
David was such an inspiration and a hero to me. I thought how can someone really exemplify social justice as a life lived. To me David Crosby life was just that. Even with all his foilables, he was a force of nature. Rest in ☮ David!
i've been waiting 100 years for this!
He surely was an ICON. My music in the 70's
Thanks for the music D.C
His Voice was Awesome Listen to Lee Shore
The Croz has passed into immortality.
Thank you for your great words on David Crosby, the stories, and for sharing some of David’s words as well. Some of them I really needed to hear today. I’ve really gotten quite impressed with your evolution over the decades. They really have become a more complete person, and congratulations to you on that. I really enjoy these kind of interviews and podcasts. Thank you.
Was too young when CSNY came out. Been listening to their LP December 2022 because my best pal loved them as well. He passed away years ago and CSNY was our bridge. I’ve thought about him through the music of CSNY. Pardon me if I’m not making sense, I’m just sad.
Thanks Howard. That was on point ❤
The interviews with Croz over the years got better and better, but I wish he had David perform his songs on the show with the band. CSN's last tours were not good, but the band I saw him with was really really superb. Howard should have gone to see him in Westhampton Beach a few years back.
Really tasteful. This is a great piece.
I actually enjoy that 1st Crosby Stills and Nash the most, great 100% all the way through from start to finish.
Oh ffs How did i miss this RIP LEGEND

i think david is the archetypal baby boomer but in a positive and not negative way. A free spirit, loving, difficult, unique, believer of social justice and obsessed with music.

His disposition is genetic in part. Just found out he's our cousin from Grandma's side... wow.
Interesting coincidence: when I saw “Private Parts” in ‘97 in Vancouver, David Duchovny and Tea Leone were sitting in front of us. Not as coincidental as if Howard had been in front of us, but you know, it was in Vancouver and not New York.
Damn
Howard said he made it his mission to get CSN or CSNY back together but you have to understand anybody could try to get them back together and they all would refuse to do it
always landed on his feet despite his views because his pure talent rose above all else. rip.

Why does it matter? You really need a life if that's bothers you.
Homeless people are wasting time begging for money when they could be volunteering in the community or creating businesses instead. Let’s change that with the Universal Basic Income. Or by abolishing money. Let’s give everyone over the age of 13 a guaranteed minimum income of $1,500ish USD/month! Mining
