Crosby was a great guy when he was amongst the public. His problems are with those whom he knew best. His musical talent was enormous and as I listen to his music I get pure enjoyment. My turntable has no gripes with him and neither do I.

Loved The Byrd's and of course Crosby, Stills and Nash. Rest easy sir. Thank you for the music. 🕊️🙏❤️ He was man enough to admit his regrets and wished he could change the past. Let the man rest. He was honest.

Love him or hate him he was a giant in the history of modern music from the sixties till now. He made a lot of mistakes associated with the trappings of stardom but acknowledging his mistakes and stupidity which is a big step towards getting your shit together as a lot of people never acknowledge what they've done to hurt other people. Music is Love is one one of my favourite Crosby songs and he pushed the power of music till the very end RIP Croz you were one of the greats.

Life is too short to have hate or grudges against someone. If you've been hurt by something or someone..talk to thst person..clear the air and give yourself a chance to forgive. If a person once meant something to you let them know...you may never get the chance if you wait until tomorrow..tomorrow isn't promised to anyone ✌️

Maybe that's because it wasn't a "turnaround". Even after Phil Collins paid for the liver transplant he needed (and "cut in line" for), he still used drugs and lied about it.

Exactly. The man turned himself into the FBI, pled guilty, cooperated completely, went into four month solitary, did his time, got out and stayed sober, talked to whoever would listen about how wrong he had been about drugs, did not blame ANYONE, got married to a longtime girlfriend, had a son, they helped save Drew Barrymore, made good music and wrote the warden and the judge thank you notes. NOTHING bu admiration for the man. Doubt most of us here could do the same. I know I couldn't.

I found that series of 'advice videos' hillarious, not always the content but the very fact that it was David Crosby that people were asking advice from. Watch a few, he gives some very practical advice and doesn't come over as the complete bastard he's reputed to be. Doubtless he mellowed with age. I'd say I'll miss him but you can't miss someone who's still around in the perfectly beautiful music he created.

He was cruel beyond belief to Gene Clark of the Byrds .... no insult was too small for Crosby to hurtle at Clark. G.C. came from a poor family in Mississippi, while Crosby grew up in a wealthy family in L.A. Crosby loved to make fun of Clark and his guitar playing. While Crosby was probably remorseful about his insults, he never apologized that he tried to wreck Gene Clark's fragile sense of confidence.TREATED WOMEN HORRIBLY Still. Hope he rests in peace.

And as a heavy metal fan, I could go with some harder music, but that is not going to win over the people who like Crosby. Another great band is the BEEGEES. If you are looking for a more rock sound, John Mellenchamp is great too. I'll never understand how Crosby and Dylan became famous. It must have been all the drugs their fans were consuming in the late 60s. Hell, I do not like Pink Floyd either. They seem to be as overrated as Crosby. My dislike for Crosby goes further than his horrible music. He was not a great human being. He advocated for things which led to the destruction of many lives.

@@ESUSAMEX why Dylan was famous? Check his interview on the CBS 60 minutes as Bobby slips it out himself. And come on, Dylan won even a freaking Nobel prize 😂. It's certainly not that he was so much better than anyone else. Not familiar about Crosby but John Todd said some incredible things about him. Seems so that he had a larger than life ego. Crosby said 'heaven is overrated' and only 24 hours later... boom he's dead. To make such a claim you would have had to been in heaven to really know is it actually overrated or not. Ignorance and a massive ego were his weaknesses most obviously...
