As I understand it, Crosby publicly bashed Neil for leaving Peggy for Darryl Hannah and then Nash for ditching his wife for a younger woman. And that's what this whole this is about. I just listened to David's new CD "For Free" in which he collaborates with Donald Fagen and Michael McDonald, et al. It is EXCELLENT. They mesh really well together. I don't think David needs to concern himself now with things that he cannot change. Now it's up to the others. Stephen could help by playing with David publicly on some California tour dates.

It just hurts that your (my) musical idols for 50 years are no longer interested in being a group - but then, what collection of four individuals has stayed together for 50 years without ups and downs? People change, situations happen, disagreements happen. CSN-&Y were the musical track of my life.

Of course it's way more complicated than what Crosby lets on. The deep rift between Crosby, and Nash and Young came long after Crosby cleaned up his act. I think it mainly has to do with Crosby's financial situation (which is not good) and Crosby still being a big mouth. He seems very mild and apologetic but he has obviously blown it big time. Neil is probably not very involved in any CSNY venture because he doesn't need them.

Dear Mr Crosby. I'm a big admirer of your music and your creative approach. I'm a muso myself and have been hugely inspired by "Guinnevere" & other CSN/CSNY songs. Normally i find you to be very honest (which i very much appreciate) but i felt you were downplaying Nash's contribution here. Stills did write a number of hits - "Suite: Judy Blue Eyes", "Find the Cost of Freedom", "I Give, You Give, Blind", "Southern Cross" to name a few. But i think it's generally acknowledged that Nash had the most commercial success within the group. I know you and Nash are not on good terms now but give him his due. And by the way, it's good to hear that you and Stills are still friends - after years of butting heads!

You have to give credit where credit is due, liberals wrote most of the great music of the 60's. But inspire of all their talk of Peace, Love and Harmony, they leave a shit storm everywhere they go.
