I watched Pearce Morgan interview Howard Stern & Pearce equated himself as “the British king of all media” smh. Sorry to burst your pompous bubble, Pearce, but Howard Stern is a LEGEND 💯 He changed radio in ways nobody else has. I didn’t even know who Pearce Morgan was until about 2-3 years ago & he’s not nearly as influential or revolutionary as Howard. It’s insulting & pompous to compare himself to the REAL “King of all media” aka HOWARD STERN! PS- Larry King is more comparable to Howard Stern than Pearce Morgan will ever be. Yet he (King) didn’t have the cockiness to state it. RIP to the great Larry King ✌🏾

No. It’s how scared Howard was when he found out his daughter was going to be in the newspaper for being nude in a show. So he put a stop to it and made up a fake story.

Are they still on the air? I used to listen to Don and Mike in the mid to late '90s right after Rush Limbaugh. I thought they were a good duo. I've always been a talk radio fan, but I'm more interested in political, paranormal, and conspiracy talk radio now, not so much shock jock radio.

For someone who criticizes public speakers for repetitive quirks, Howard says "ya know" quite often.

Yes! I was listening to his show the other day (now 5 years later) and I noticed that he says “ya know” all the time. It was very distracting. It’s even worse now because Howard sounds a lot older, slower, and tired.

So sad we lost Howard Stern. He went off the deep end and turned the show into the same exact type of boring talk show that he always made fun of. He only gets the same boring guest too. Yeah, sadly the old wig wearing man we grew to love has died. RIP Howard Stern Show. You will be missed. Its now a talk show for old people basically. He better not say a single negative word to the next person that picks up the reigns and puts together a good show like Howard use to have. He lost the right to talk badly about them now that he has turned into the unfunny old man.

His audience today is at least 10x anything Leno ever had. Sirius had 600,000 subs when he joined in 2006. Very shortly after they had 7 million plus and forced the merger with the larger XM radio. You and Jay can go fuck yourselves.

He had a solid audience up to around 2011 lol at most up to the end of 2012. Just kept shrinking since then. I'd be surprised if anyone these days outside of people that rent cars or sub for sports actually listens to him legitimately via paid sub. Really tech just caught up with him. Hell, truckers or construction site workers(His biggest demographic) have access to 4g connections that are cheaper than a satellite sub and can listen to w.e they want on the road/on-site including old pirated Howard stern shows that are actually good! In reality, Howard was just the best option when options were limited.

Hmm that's interesting. I'm confused then as to why Howard stern makes 90 million a year. Must be a farce. I got a new car back in 2015 and had a free trial to satellite radio and he was the only reason it was even worth listening to. Not shady or any other channel that's on there

You ask a valid question. King prided himself on never preparing for interviews, and Stern's anchor is made od fart and dick jokes. I've often thought, despite finding them entertaining at times, that they represent the way our culture praises the mediocrity of certain people as novel and special.
