Remember history. If you decide to bring in an incompatible population instead of mechanizing and automating, the long term effects are toxic.

I don't think we have to choose. We can certainly debate (rhetorically) which may have a greater impact; however, both are important and necessary. There might even be some overlap between the two mentioned.

We must never forget history, I hope that after the rename, there's a Plaque or something that people see, before entering the hall, on who it was originally name after and why the name change, so that people dont forget the history.

That's cause these important aspect of the lives of these so called historical figures have been deliberately hidden from the "whole world". It is everyone's duty to uncover those aspects and stop revering them as some sort of hero's and plastering their names on anything and everything.

Sure, if you think that changing the name is "even better". The question here is; is that really true, or is it giving in to the sentiment and the people behind this movement? People who you'll never satisfy, people always looking for the next thing to complain about.

Removing a statue of someone that had bad beliefs isn't going to make racial tension around the world better, all your doing is erasing history that could be learned from. And as the philosopher, George Santayama (1863-1952) said "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.". He was also a essayist, poet and novelist.

Completely disingenuous exercise. Remove Calhoun's name but retain Yale's name? This simply shows they are in no mood to genuinely disown the legacy of those who once funded them, regardless of how that money was earned.
