My year I wasn’t randomly assigned to a college. The selections for freshmen admitted to an advanced math program had not been completed so they put all of us into the same residential track. As a result Silliman College completely dominated graduation honors my year. I was full of myself, and playing pool with Richard Mann I mentioned I had the second highest score in my state on a little test administered by the American Mathematical Association. He asked my score and laughed at my answer. My score would have been the sixth best at his Long Island High school. Now they discriminate against Asians. Richard explained to me that In our class they discriminated against Jews thru a rule limiting students from New York to 20% of the class. Much of the Hogwarts ornate neo gothic architecture resulted from Yale wanting to support skilled tradesmen in New Haven during the depression. Loaded with money, as always, Yale launched a lot of construction, happy to include ornate details. Neo gothic was perfect. From my bedroom window at Silliman I think I was the only person who could see one particular roof top gargoyle.

it was in the building where freshman live for both pierson & berkeley! freshman live on old campus so it was a different part of campus & berkeley and pierson share that building for their freshman!

@@MamaChilanga i switched bcz of a roommate situation ! it wasnt too hard for me to switch, but there was an application to do so

Hey, I watched your video a couple months back after I applied to Yale. Now that I am accepted I have a small question. Do the residential colleges have recording/media studios students can reserve. Studios that would allow you to record a podcast or maybe music.

congrats!! anyone can transfer if they want, but ik sometimes it is denied. i decided to transfer because i knew more people in the other college that i was closer with. you do have to have a reason/people you’d live with to switch but otherwise its easy

Hi Khosilmurod, I hope you're doing well. I was wondering if you could help me out with college application for Class of 2029? I'm planning to apply Yale for ed1 and I'm in need of someone to help me out with crafting essays. I understand that you may have a busy schedule, but I would be happy if you could lend me a hand whenever in this 5-months period.

Because most people stay within their college the whole time they are at Yale, would people of different years be able to dorm with each other; like a freshman with a sophomore etc. ?
