As someone who grew up in the rice fields. This is the first time I've seen any of this. Only the crop spreaders from duster crews. Has to be a development company because most won't spend millions to replant using a pointless process with an ai machine. We pant, it grows we, drain, we harvest.

When I was young, our village went to harvest rice, the whole field was yellow and the aroma of ripe rice made us very excited

Nice video overall, light on details but it gives a fairly easy to digest knowledge blurb for the more casual viewers that only have exposure to rice via what's in take out containers or in boxes on grocery store shelves. While it's been a while, I remember the rice harvesting near where I grew up. Acres and acres, miles of lowland about a foot and a half deep at the deepest point. The plantation there had been growing rice since the mid nineteenth century. It doesn't anymore because the state imminent domained the entire plantation for an airport and shipping port expansion that never came to be. Now to return it to productive rice land would be millions if not a billion or two in costs to rebuild all the weirs and dikes, groom the land flat-ish. Relocate a few thousand or so alligators, snapping turtles and whatnot and desalination of many of the fields nearest the estuary. Basically not going to happen.

What country is this?

Was this video of rice production done in one country or, many countries? I think I saw asians, europeans and someone from latin america in it but I can't really tell. It would have been a good thing if that information was included for us to know.

From now on as individual, not for sell , will buy strait from farmers, before it is processed to package for person use to eat rice . I think I have to go to farmer to buy sections then hand cut the rice then bring them home to make a large bag for my self .

It looked like the rice seedlings were perfectly distributed across the field. Why pull them up simply to replant them if they're already perfectly distributed? Great video btw👍

@@donarthiazi2443 she's right. your proposal is practical suicide. if you distribute the rice seed on the dry soil, weed will out grow rice seedlings, but if you sow the seed on the wet land it can't grow. best option is to sow the seed on dry soil and keep the entire field wet until seedling is ready to transplant. the process takes 14 up to 20 days.

Good job on presentation.. but rice is not a cerial grain. Its a sinlge simple carbohydrate. It has some nutritional value but lacks many crucial complex carbohydrates and nutrients.

a good basmati rice is aged in husk between 6 month to two years,so the way to realize how long it was aged is look at the color,rice that is pure white like snow white is not aged the longer it's aged the closer the color to kind of yellowish light beige smoked rice are the the best if the taste don't bother you cause only the highest quality of rice goes through that process,and the can last lot longer than regular rice more than few years,that's after two years of aging

Arkansas is One of the States who is Leading the USA in Growing Quality Rice & They Ship a Great Deal of It Over Seas. I was given a couple of 25lb bags of 2 completely types of Rice & I didn't care for the one kind, but i would makes some of the other kind and would cook it up and eat it Plain, Good Stuff!!!

I am in Mississippi been growing rice for over 40 years not the way we do it. We also sell 45000 pounds for 5 to 6000 dollars then you see what they get for it in the stores figure that up see who is getting screwed the farmer

I don't know that rice can grow in temperate zone like the US. I think rice can only grown in tropical countries. If rice is growable in four seasons countries why then wheat can't be grown in tropical countries, it should be vice versa it isn't it?
