One tip: if you can't wheelie while looking forward, Then bend your arms a bit and look down a tiny bit(you might want to make your seat a bit lower)

Hey thanks! I’ve watched several wheelie vids and they’ve often said to keep the seat fully up. I followed your advice (actually ended up dropping the seat about 2”) and had my best results to date. I’m 47 and learning ANYTHING seems to takes time and patience!

Well some riders can wheelie really easily while others like me need to practice a lot. I ride a line I have risen the white line but I couldn’t wheelie so I set a goal to go out every day and practice for 2:30 hours every day no matter what and after five years I can wheelie for around 40 meters consistently and my best wheelie is around 60 meters and with practicing every day in another five years I am confident that I can wheelie for 200 to 300 meter.

Finally someone mentioned using the hips for balance, without hips you're nothing in a wheelie. Personally I would lower that seat ALOT lower, that also brings balance point up higher too. Are you gonna make a "How to swerve a wheelie" video?

good stuff, four good tips that helped me are lower air pressure in rear tire, steer the opposite direction of falling, go up a slight grade, and most of all Relax-Breath-Chill.

I gave it a few pumps before I started, pulled my arm's up to lift the front off the bike up a half foot high curb. Then I lifted myself by pulling my bike back high 3 times (higher with the 2, on the found the balance by using my body weight and a stra back).

@G3STER it's mostly about the kick when you pedal that lofts the bike, yes weight may make a little difference but it's mostly about balance

Hard to believe after all the videos I've seen on this subject I learned a couple new things. It's funny, I used to ride my ATV all the time until I started an ATV Channel. I'd be curious to know how your daily mountain biking routine has changed now that you have introduced a camera into the mix. Keep them coming!

Thanks MTB Cincinnati! That was my goal in making the video was to approach wheelies from a different perspective. As far as my daily routine, I be posting a video sometime in the near future talking about what my typically daily ride looks like!
