How To Do MASSIVE Bunnyhops!
Спорт
Hi everybody, today's video is all about bunnyhops!
I've seen there are lots of videos on KZread about how to bunnyhop but I've yet to see one that tells you all the tips needed to get MASSIVE ones. I figured as they're one of my favourite tricks and I can go pretty high (125cm personal best, not seen many people in the world go higher than that) I would try and explain how to do it.
I've included the very basics as well as the techniques needed to get 120cm+ so hopefully there's something for everyone.
Please give the video a watch and let me know if it helps you, also if you want your own bunnyhop bar to practice on, click the link below to my previous video showing you how to build your own portable, light and cheap bar setup.

Your name though!
From someone who cannot bunny hop, watching someone bunny hop is like magic. But watching someone pull off huge bunny hops like this is pure voodoo.
This was the best Bunny Hop tutorial I've watched😁

Cheers Ali - great vid - inspired me to get my bike out and give it a go. After an afternoon of sweat I can now confidently bunny hop my 54 yo bones over a 1" stick (you've got to start somewhere). Well done and thanks

When I was a kid, 70s, that was called a 'bronco'. A bunny hop was when both wheels left the ground simultaneously.

if you observed how bunnies hop you would come to conclusion that it is an appropriate term
The way both wheels match their sticker positions perfectly at his last b-hop makes my brain happy
You should do more how to's dude.

for real, your breakdown was perfect! And the multiple camera angles are great. I totally get 'it' now. You want to be bunny hopping like an olympic high jumper, basically putting the bike into a fosbury flop

i agree! I have road bicycles and thought it might be a good idea for my commuting to be able to do a modest, beginner height bunny hop...I've tried and failed, but you explained it so well i may try again. Mostly fear of falling backwards stops me even though my light bicycle has tried to wheelie by itself when i put a lot of pressure on a fast start. :)
I watched too many how to bunnyhop video and nothing can make me understand and able to do it until i saw your explanation..! Thanks, man!
0:27 I'm sure a lot of you already can bunny hop pretty well _uh.. ....UHHH um .._ *NO!*
I can bunny hop but I can't get those big hops. So I've been watching videos. This is by far the most descriptive, detailed and totally explained video I've seen. With the slo mo and play by play. Well played sir. Well played!
One of the best bunny hop tutorials on KZread! Im gonna try to beat my personal record today! Thank you for the tips Ali, Cheers!!!

Best descriptive bunny hop tutorial ive ever seen made
I'm going to watch this a few times and try and smash some hearty hops on Monday ! Good video mate !
definitely should do more tutorials man. it's easy to tell you know a lot about riding and you explain it very well 👍 can't wait for the next video
Great surprise to get a wee bonus video! Thanks for the tips Ali.
I've watched a few of your vids but this one specifically made me subscribe... cheers and happy riding!
I went mtn biking today near Mt Hood. I used my suspension lots of times going over horizontal roots. I could have bunny hopped them and landed flat on the trail. I'll be sure to work on it.
Ali makes great videos. Some of my favourite videos on KZread
Such a brilliantly explained tutorial! Thanks for putting this together.
Wow!!! I'm impressed! Thanks for the nice clear instructions, and great camera work.
Perfect tutorial. I now wait for the how to up to front. You make it look so easy.
Amazing...I never saw a person jump a bike as if they are a show jumper on a horse before! impressive.
I've been waiting for your "how to do" series for so long, finally the videos have arrived! Thank you very much, cheers from Argentina Ali
The only bunny hop tutorial i actually understand 😁 amazing
you got a lot more tips than a lot of bmx channels good work
This is the best bunnyhop tutorial I've watched!
Best bunnyhop tutorial on KZread 👌 by far... Keep it up Ali!!
This was awesome. I really liked how you broke down all the steps.
I've enjoyed all of your videos but this one is absolutely brilliant, thankyou.
A big tip of the helmet to the best bunny hop instructor I have watched -- thanks for a fantastic video and lesson!
Best bunnyhop tutorial i've ever seen, thanks man!!
Ali, your teaching style is awesome, definitely the best bunny hop how to I've seen to date. Thanks for actually breaking it down and explaining how & why vs simply what you're doing. More how to vids would be wicked 👍
Great great video Ali!! I've been searching for trials tutorials all the time, but none of those impressed me much. Until I found yours!! You'll be a master of trials coaching! Please more tutorials, please!! :D
Outstanding video! Best bike tutorial video I've seen. Very thorough! Keep it up!!
When you hit the bar and said "I look like an idiot" I pictured me on the sidelines with no bike watching you hit a bar that's at my hip height (ish) with your bike and I can barely hop over the bar on the ground without a bike. Have a great day!
Best instructional bike video I've ever seen. You should do a vid on the highest / longest English hop though, just for the fun of it ;)
Best bunny hop video out here ! Well detailed and definately one that makes you feel like you already like you've mastered it by only watching.
What i like about this video is it doesn't just tell you what to do it tells you how to do it.
Im very happy I found this channel
A MASSIVE VLOG Ali...perfectly explained ! Thanks !
Really appreciate the work you put into these videos :)
I have watched tons of these and you Sir are the greatest at showing the stages of operating so well. Thank you.
Of all the bunny hop videos out there, this is definitely one of them; a mighty fine one, too.
Amazing tutorial. Great explanation without being long winded, good composition and humor. Love it.
Well done Ali! You really have a talent for those kind of tutorial videos.
Best Hop tutorial I've seen, and best slow-mo's.
Cheers Ali! Can't beat getting tips from a pro for free. 🤘🏻🤘🏻👍🏻
Yes I agree. Excellent explanations of each step.
This is one of the best tutorials on how to bunny hop. Good job.
Thanks Ali there is definitely a need for better trials tutorials from experienced riders. More please.
An excellent tutorial - showing the skill in gradual steps and detailing common errors too. Good work!
Thanks for the great video- best bunny hop explanation I’ve seen yet!
Excellent tutorial with attention to details. Thanks for sharing.
The best bunny hop tutorial in the entire world of youtube, with bonus tips to make your mtb bunny hop higher. This was an amazing video! I already liked, subscribed and notified.
Just what I need right now as I try and get this dialed, thanks Ali!
wow. cool. your instructions are crystal clear and the vid is clear.
Watching your vlogs for some time now, I already thought sometimes you would be an amazing, patient and giving teacher/trainer for techniques around trials. This video is more than just confirmation my feeling was right. Keep it up!!! Really appreciate the time, effort and energy you put into your videos!
The bit about the tuck and how you need to brace the bike in the air with pressure on the handlebar and the pedals (specifically the back foot) were extremely helpful.
This is brilliant! - I'm definitely trying this on rest periods for fun during my rides lol :) great tutorial buddy - specially the slow-mo american style hop explanation.
The best bunny hop tutorial I have watched Awesome vid
Ali awesome video u should do more of these kinds of videos!!! cheera Ali!!!
Been watching since day 1 and you're getting so much more fluent and natural, great tutorial !
Best tutorial! You keep it short and sweet and don't ramble on... thanks!
Thank you for doing this Ali. I've spent the best part of 20 years trying to get the knack of the humble BH. This should hopefully get it dialed in
Clear, detailed, and great video dude. I shall get on it.
This is absolutely the best explained bunnyhop howto video on the internet. I really hope to see more like these!
I've seen few tutorials about bunny hoping, but not one explained as good as this one. Awesome work man.
Such a cool Video. Soooooo Helpfull. Very clever to use the camera like that. Thank you guys , always fun to watch your channel.
I've watched so many bunny hop videos and this is the best one
That vid is awesome. I have a lot of work to do to learn to bunny hop, and I will probably watch your video over and over and over and.......
That was great! I never realized it was a "tuck" and not just turning sideways in the air. Great instructional vid Ali, hope to see more of those! Now I'm off to the shops to get materials for my bunnyhop bar!
Great video! Everything is clearly written and shown, well done))))
Hands up on that Tutorial . Great detail.
im a beginner learning basic skills and watched a lot of videos trying to learn from them by far this video stands out in terms of explaining by deconstructing every element down and showing how to do it v good job mate
Very good lesson. I just started riding trials about two weeks ago. So I'm just learning to bunny hop (and unlearning SPD bunny hop) and other stunts. It's difficult, but I hope that next summer I've learned something. I'd also like to see more of your lessons.
Excellent... appreciated the super slow motion to help learn the technique.
The best ever bunny hop video - makes you wonder why others couldn't make it so clear?
So great - you are a master and great teacher.
Just got the bunny hop from your tutorial. Thanks ❤❤❤
That's tremendous Ali. Honestly, I've watched dozens of these videos, but getting things broken into practicable chunks is absolute genius.
Nice video it's nice to see the slow Mo on the tricks has not every one shows the tricks like you do which is slot more helpful thanks Keep up the good work all the best Suresh from the UK . Bless
This is by far the best "How to Bunnyhop" video I have found yet (and I have watched a lot of them...). Thank you for taking the time to break down the sequence with plenty of clear explanatory comments. I agree with Dave Davies - you should make more "how to" videos!
Impressive! Both doing and explaining. Thanks.
It's great that you are showing mistakes too. It's an honest and thorough teaching experience. I've learned a lot and thanks to you my MTB rides became even more enjoyable. Thank you
Really cool with a positive attitude
nicely done tutorial. specially the multiple angles and slowmos. easy to pick up
This is the most helpful how-to I've ever seen for bunny hops. Since getting back on the bike, I've been struggling to get my hops higher and this really gave me some different ways to think about it. Thanks much, my friend!
You're an extraordinary athlete and excellent teacher.
really liking ur videos, not too many cuts and ure not acting.. like a friend who's explaining stuff ;)
This is very useful! I've currently got a 22.5" bunny hop on my enduro bike and I think tucking will really help me increase that. Thanks a ton, man!
This has been really helpful; i'm looking forward to giving this a go on my next cycle. I've been half-arsing the "English" method for too long now.
I'm very happy I watched this video thanks Ali👍
brilliant tips and tutorial. more power and thanks for sharing.
Bro, best tutorial I've seen... you have a new subscriber! Please do more how to videos. I just started getting in to MTB and I want to do those stuff even though I'm old, lol
Awesome tutorial! This should help a lot of people.
