36 and picking up BMX. I skateboard back in my younger days and always wanted to. My kids are starting to ride so this gives me an opportunity to mess around.

the one thing i regret not doing is learning tricks on a cassette hub. i feel that building a foundation of skills on a cassette is more beneficial that jumping right into freecoaster hubs. fakies are harder on a cassette but it in turn teaches you more bike control and muscle/brain memory.

Yea I could agree with that. I didn't start riding a free coaster until a lot later in my riding career.

Thanks Colin for the instructional video. I've been in the sport since 2016 on and off and still refining basic bike control... There is a big learning curve to BMX and I am only scratching the surface. 🤘

Pumping is for some reason one of the hardest things for me, I think I'm getting the hang of it slowly but it's taking frustratingly long, I loved this explanation, will apply it the next time I ride.

This video helped me fix my fakies 180’s and manuals better than any other video instant results and I’ve scoured forums, and KZread for any piece of advice I could get, and none of them had results as quick as this video. Did I just played the video in my pocket and did 10:19 what he said to do in real time it’s a lot easier that way. Plus you won’t have to remember. Not only that he does a good job emphasizing key points. Thank you so much man.
