How to use Chalk Paint to create rust effect.
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Join me on a very long 50 minute journey on how to create A modern industrial rust patina using Annie Sloan Chalk Paint.
The beauty of using chalk paint to create this faux finish is it’s perfect to use for project within the home without spoiling any soft furnishings, notoriously real rust can stain Allsorts, ironically I’m pretty sure it has definitely been used in the making of some pigments with him paints in the past.
This technique would be great for all manners of projects from furniture through to small items such as Christmas decorations artwork I’ve even used it on a wooden planting trough in the middle of my dining room it’s such a wonderful warm patina, That can work in almost any interior old and new.
I do hope you’ve enjoyed

The final piece is truly lovely. When you are painting things like the circus piece on the Annie Sloan website, do you use a stencil, copy from a design, or draw everything freehand? That particular piece of furniture is so quirky and unique. I love it. Great explanations for each step. I appreciate your time and effort for those of us who ate beginners with furniture.

I've just started to rent a unit to sell my furniture but my pieces are like marmite, people love it or hate it 🤣 i do mostly industrial/ bohemian styles. I thought I would introduce some pretty floral pieces to get my sales up but after seeing this tutorial I have so many ideas for new industrial stuff ARGGHHH! 🤣 the amount of those pins from inside the drawers i have thrown away over the years, what a waste. Thankyou for this video 😃

That is the right idea spend some time waiting for the right piece of furniture to come this is part of the illusion the shape is so important if you choose something that has quite curvy shape it just won’t work out as well all the best for the search and when you get a chance to give it a go be sure to send me some pictures 😊❤️🙏

i wish many of other u tubers learn HOW to teach instead of flying the video like speedy gonzalez just because they do not want to make the video "too long"...and do not teach crap...I prefer watch a long video and learn something good than watch a video in which everything is on super fast speed...and LOVE LOVE LOVE that you do not have an annoying music in the background competing with your explanation...so freaking refreshing...I take my hat off and stand up in your honor...

Wow thank you very much such high praise it’s never easy really putting videos together and as a visual learner myself I really think it is important to show everything and explain as much as possible to give everybody a chance at following along with me on the journey… Believe it or not sometimes I get negative comments because my tutorials are too long I suppose it’s difficult to please everybody but I do find that much of my following like yourself enjoy the way that I teach so I’m super happy that you spent the time to write me your lovely message 😊❤️🙏

@@JonathonMarcMendesPaintedLove I honestly praise such a good job because it needs to be praised..and yes, many of us are visual learners so it is important to see and heard the details...we are detail oriented so when that is not offered in a video i get very annoyed and wonder why these people are "teaching" or just showing off a talent that is very limited or they are utubers thirst of $$$ anyhow, I find more channels like yours and hang in there to dear life LOLOLOL Please never change your format...LOOOOOVE to learn from you...and thank you for sharing knowledge with all of us who are hungry for more knowledge...blessings!

I couldn’t agree more!! 👍🏻 If someone feels a video is too long, they have a skip forward button. 🤦🏻♀️ I’ve seen posted comments about people thinking the videos are too long on other channels too, and it annoys me. 🙄 If someone feels that the videos are too long, then, DO. NOT. WATCH. IT. Simple as that. 💁🏻♀️ Thanks for ALL the amazing tutorials you do, Jonathon!! 🤍
