I remember doing this in school art class. There is something so satisfying about gouging and carving the lino.

Yes! This is brilliant. I think too often we rely on transfers, inlays, etc. but our own creativity is much more interesting and timeless! Thank you Annie, this was a great artistic tutorial. I will definitely be trying this technique. : )

I absolutely LOVE this idea! I have used carved pieces of lino on my gel plate and created some really fun prints! That got me thinking and made me wonder if it would be possible to use the Chalk Paint on my gel plate and then press it onto a piece of furniture… Any ideas? Has anyone tried this perhaps technique? I’d love to hear about it if anyone has because I think that there could be some really cool pieces created this way! I guess I could always try it out on a scrap piece of wood the next time I have one lying around. Anyway, once again, thank you Annie for always sharing such cool techniques with us all. Love your Chalk Paint!

I if you do not want the hard line between lino prints, then take a ruler and take off about a1/4 inch at the over lapped edge and then you can actually overlap the lino sheets one to one, and lay them end, paint them all at once and then put them on the surface you want the print, That's only if you do not want a Blocking Look.
