Awesome stuff! Just something I’d like to point out, though starting the bag higher in the arc will cause it to go faster as it passes through the bottom of the arc, starting the bag higher won’t change its period, which means how long it takes for the bag to go from one side to the other and back. The period of a pendulum is affected only by its length The equation specifically is: Period of a pendulum = 2*pi*sqrt(L/g) where L is the length of the pendulum, and g is acceleration due to gravity, which we can reasonably assume is about constant near for us viewers on the surface of the Earth. All of this is to say, if you quadruple the length of the rope, you double the period. If you divide the length of the rope by four, you halve the period. Changing how heavy the bag is won’t affect its period, and neither will starting the bag lower or higher. Hope this helps anybody trying to change how frequently their bag sways back and forth!

8 division champion. Truly up there. Manny's shoes are the shoes hanging way up on the highest power cable right outside of the gym. You run past them everyday, you look up at them before you enter the gym. You rest outside after roadwork laying on the sidewalk, staring up at them. It's going to take hunger to think of climbing that telephone pole to even read the letters on them sneakers.

As someone who trains in an area with a relatively short ceiling, how high would I need to hang the bag to get good usage? Also, would you recommend a traditional slip bag or the aqua headhunter bag?

Hello. I am thinking about getting this ringside bag. I saw reviews that said it was too light and that it didn't swing well because of the chain. Is this your experience? Would you recommend this one? I saw also saw one from Boxerpoint on Amazon that seemed small but I'm trying to choose between these two. Finally, what about chain length? Do you find it adequate? Any help is appreciated and Thanks for the video!

@@csquaredboxing I am finding the ball goes side to side eventually no matter how straight I push it. I think its the hook that causes it. If the chain was longer I could just mount the chain to my post itself but its too short. I was looking at slip vids of Tyson and there was a chain guard so I might look into that.
