    It's actually not just placebo effect -- it works using proprioceptive feedback to help inhibit pain pathways, as well as feedback to the muscle to work in its most effective range for optimum performance.

    John, thank you so much for sharing your experience, however, the second tape (black) was applied at the same patient posture (Head leteral flex. R.) can you clarify why? Another question it is told that we are working at upper trap. but with that technique you covered three section of traps, lower, mid., upper and also you tensed the black tape. so it will retract the left shoulder a little bit. Thank you for your reply.

    Johnny, how can you apply this tape if you only have two limbs. Two which are attached and lean towards the front of the torso. Which would have to bend and twist in an almost anatomically impossible angle in order to properly and effectively apply the kinesio tape? Which also happen to be my arms.

    It sounds like a Cervical spine issue you have and the pain in the shoulder area is simply referred from the neck, the taping technique might help the pain short term and worth a try, Good luck, regards JG - Happy new year to you!

    Hey John im 17 with a crick on the left side of my neck for almost a year. Is it torticolis and should i see a chiro

  • @JohnGibbons

    @JohnGibbons

    8 жыл бұрын

    If it is Torticolis then the sterno-cleido mastoid muscle is generally involved and the neck normally side bends to one side and rotates to the opposite side. Rather than it being a muscular issue then I would see an osteopath or chiropractor first to check the alignment of the cervical joints as it could be a structural issue. good luck, JG
