    @@GoldfishCorner Yes Thank you! 🙏🏻 My sakura ranchu has no red areas now and the tail/fin looks like it’s healing (definitely not getting worse) . 🎉🙆🏻‍♀️🎊 I used a different brand though, it was by Yee (brand’s quite popular in Singapore right now). I dabbed the powder directly onto the affected area once a day and left it in the ‘bath’ for 15-20mins each time, for 3 consecutive days. I did a 100% water change in the hospital tank (with cycled water) on the 4th day, I know 100% water change is never recommended but my hospital tank is really small and I didn’t want there to be any accumulation of meds ending in an overdose. 😅 I added no other medicine but anti-chlorine and aquarium salt in the hospital tank. There were also some red spots on the sides and underside of my fish before the treatment and I could see major improvement by the 2nd day (the red areas on the underside was gone by the 2nd day). 2 days after the last bath treatment (taking into consideration the half-life of the yellow powder), I added Yee’s Universal Fish Medicine to my hospital tank (according to the dosage on the bottle). So far, so good… it’s not getting worse, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed. 🤞🏻

    Can u please tell me what I’m doing wrong I have a 85 gallon tank new to the fish world not really I am but I’m not . My dad had fish when I was a little girl so I get how to set up a tank just a little different now from when I was little , anyways it’s been a year no problems only lost 2 fish bc one jumped and one got stuck in his decoration. I have tetras angel fish African frogs flying foxes loaches black ghost knife fish 2 biccher danios barbs guramies ghost catfish and my feeder gold fish I had to buy bc I felt bad for them . I love those gold fish and my angel fish to death oh and I have 2 make bettas I have a balanced tank bottom feeders middle swimmers top swimmers . With very spoiled fish but I just bought more fish 4 days ago they are fine but my gold fish developed fun rot and ich and worms I think it looks like strings hanging off them they started acting really weird shacking there heads rubbing on the bottom of the tank like spazzing out of control . I was like Wth ? Fir the last few days I’ve been doing water cages like 30 percent cleaned the filter added another air stone the water is just look like hell . I’ve been freaking out for 2 days now bc that’s when I said I’m this is serious now I’ve been up with fish worried sick it’s crazy but I am at a panic right now no sleep still trying to figure out what to do to get rid of this stuff from my gold fish they are the only ones so far that have it . I’m flipping my lid over my other fish bc they were expensive and I really like what I have. Never in a million years did I ever think I would be doing this and a year later with just wanting to throw the damn tank and pump out I the street lol but finally I got right and then this happens . What do I do to help them . I’m sitting with home rubbing this crap off the poor gold dish In tears maybe bc I’m so tired but I’m a little dramatic ! Anyways my tank is all screwed up bc I added a fake green grass pad and it dyed my water green . Then the gold fish come down with this fin rot slime gross stuff the poor guys are over weight and giants just huge every one loves them now they are going to die and I’ve done everything for them . Can u please tell me what I’m doing wrong the pet store doesn’t open until 9 I’m so freaked out and I put old almost expired antibiotics in the aquarium seems to help but not much niw it looks like it’s worse so I put them in a hospital tank (plastic bin ) with air and heat fresh clean water seem way happier but there fins are just rotting away they bodies look weird and swollen like raw . But what can u do for them now I want to get a handle on it so they don’t die before the store opens and I don’t want my other fish getting it either ? Does garlic really work ? Epsom salt ? Antibiotics for a old tooth ache I mean what do I do ? Sorry for ranting and if miss spelled words I’m so tired and ready to just f it get better and hope they don’t jump out of the tub . Of course I’m not going to do that but I’m so frustrated

    I’m so sorry not only because my late reply but also your frustrating story. First of all, I feel you are very genuine person and want to treat goldfish really well as your pets. Second, you have tried all you can but things still get worse. Here are a few suggestions from me: 1. Goldfish is harder to keep compared with other type of fish. It is normal to have these death incidents, especially for beginners even for me to see dead goldfish in my tank. Deep breath, that is OK. That was not your intention and part of learning curves. 2. The easy way for goldfish is to have less fish in bigger tank. I see you keep adding new fish, that is where you went wrong. More fish will easily spoils your water and increases the chance of diseases. 3. There is a procedure to add and quarantine new fish’. Make sure you watch my other videos. The new fish tends to carry the bacteria and diseases from pet store to your home tank. That is probably what happened in the first place for your goldfish get fungus infection. 4. When you see problem fish’, the first thing to do is to remove them from your tank and make sure on infection to others. 5. Use medicine to treat fish with rub salt bath, yellow powders, or those medicine from pecto or petsmart store. It depends on luck 🍀. Sometime you cure it, sometime not. Take it easy.

    Thank you for the reply that was a nightmare lol but I handled it with ich medicine blue dye stuff lol that was fun I lost a couple of fish bc it’s not for scaless fish and I lost a frog , 2 loaches and ghost knife fish that really made me sad bc I didn’t read the directions all the way lesson learned . I threw away my filter and all the plants decorations cleaned the tank with salt rinsed it good bought new filter plants .. the gold fish lived happy big guys if I lost then my heart would have broke bc they are the most friendliest sweet and playful fish I’ve ever had they really appreciate that they got to live a good life still growing bigger then ever ready to move them out into a mini pond that I’m going to be building for them these boys grew so quick so fast and now they are so funny darting across the tank like bullets as fast as they can driving the other fish nuts lol I don’t think they realize how big they are and try to swim like the other small fish and get themselves stuck trying to flip around they eat everything they have to keep them away from the other fish so the fish can eat bc they will just down a whole chunk of blood worms in a second and the fish dint get a chance to eat lol but yeah they made it thru the ick and have scares but they are doing great and just keep growing . Can I ask what the package sugests you do. As the instructions are all in japanese it's not easy to know. So they say treat the whole tank right. How long do you leave the medication in the tank, can you feed the fish while it's in there? Do you need to do water changes and repeat etc etc, what temp do they suggest? I have heard this medication or "yellow powder" is highly carcinogenic, so maybe wise to wear rubber gloves when handeling it and avoid getting any powder on your bare skin. I have a tank I can use so Im not worried about killing off the bacteria. There is no filter just airstone. Thank-you.

    Yes, it worked for bettas, too. Just check out the pinned comment from "Rudy Zamora". Rudy used my method and successfully treated his betta fish. Please see my instruction "Start with a half dose, and then let the fish stay in the treated water for 30min, once per day for 5 days. Let’s see."

    If you fish are OK, then you can treat them tomorrow. Don't overdose, just simply make the FURAN-2 powder cover the rot fins. That should be enough. Treat them for 5 days

  • @GoldfishCorner

    @GoldfishCorner

    That’s a good question. I thought back- main reason would be the water quality. I used API water conditioner to treat the water to remove chlorite. May not be remove it completely. The other pro breeder told me to switch to Aqueon. It works much better. No more fin rots any more.
