How to distanguish between gold and fool gold. great way to recognize to different materials.

All you need to do is roast the pyrite to a high enough temperature and burn off the sulfur, roasting the pyrite draws out the real gold hidden in the pyrite. And yes it's gold because once you roast pyrite, the entire structure changes, as does the color. It is generally dark grey, turns reddish as it rusts. From that point, it's easy to see the gold flakes if you've done it right and your sample has gold in it. I am currently seperating gold from pyrite so yes it's a thing.

@@pakgemsinfo well the only reason I ask is. I was visiting my brother and while st hid house I noticed a few rocks in his yard so I asked him if I could have them. He told me, " buy some like he did it is called [Gold Fill Landscapes Rock]"" I am about to process the few stones I picked up over there that day. He no longer lives there so I figured I would check then and see if it would be worth buying a load for "paydirt bags" 🙄🤔😏😉 If there is gold how much is in them would be un known, even to the seller. Just crush it and bag it. No BS all bags videoed and boxed live and streamed so you can see what you were about to buy before you bought it. It was a thought I was juggling around. But I will gain more insight once I proceed the rocks. If. You would like i could share the results with you. Okay have a good one

Not every stone contains gold, and if it does, it is very rare. Gold is mostly in quartz it takes a lot of hard work to find gold i'm working too hard sir
