A short video for new gold prospectors to aid in identifying minerals in specimens.
Seeing as i.ve been playing with my specimens recently , i thought i.d do a little updated video on identifying pyrites in specimens and how to tell the difference between a spec of gold compared to a spec of fools gold, as you may come across in a gold pan.

Real good video for the beginner! Like you said …..gold will glow even in non-direct sunlight ….it doesn’t flash…It’s got a glow the moment you see it , you know you have gold ….once you’ve experienced it!⛏⛏⛏💯💯💯

Gold is never far away from Pyrite, it can also be locked up in it.

I was given the cut specimen with gold in it by a friend, specimens with gold are quite rare to find in my area. I have only found one myself which you can see me find in one of my videos on this channel. I do find plenty with fools gold though. Lol
I guessed right. Still wouldn't know the difference though x
