Refining Iron Metal from Pyrite

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

In this video I show the process I used to extract iron from pyrite (iron sulphide). This is a simple but little known process to refine pyrite.
If you haven't already it would mean a lot to me if you would like and subscribe.

I thought iron pyrite rocks would look nice in a flower bed because of the sparkle. Would it be harmful to the soil though?

Rain/water can leach sulfur from pyrites. Sulfuric acid.

If it was below 32f, I imagine that changes the chemistry somewhat. There isn't any water in that air, so no H2S gets made. It's just a thought.

I'm wondering what you would have ended up with if you would have added some Borax or some other kind of flux
