And honestly a big tip if you get rejected. Sure it sucks, but its way easier to accept and just move on once you've actually told them how you feel. When i was in uni i really liked a girl in my class, we got along really well, we would hang out everyday after class and i gave it a month before i decided to ask her out. But legit 2 minutes before i did, we were talking to someone and she mentioned she lived with her boyfriend. In my head i was like "FXXXXXXXK!!... Oh well, you win some you lose some" i ended up telling her a few minutes later, saying "yo i was literally about to ask if you were seeing anyone a few minutes ago before you mentioned you're boyfriend haha. But don't worry, i wont make it weird if you don't make it weird" and she completely understood it and were still good friends 3 years later. But after i said it and got a definitive answer, its such a heavy weight off your shoulders, even though its not the best case scenario

REPLYING AGAIN!! So ermm I actually ended up dating that girl that rejected me for a while, but we were in different schools and we both agreed we were better off as friends and agreed to never talk about the relationship again and continue as friends. Later on, I dated a girl named Jordyn, who I really liked. I enjoyed my time with her, and I felt really happy around her. We were practically almost inseparable, but I made a mistake in our relationship bc I suck and I ended up getting broken up with. If you're wondering what the mistake was, I was too "possessive" (She talked shit about me with the people that she talked bad about to me. She was apparently friends with the people even though she knew they talked shit about me for no reason. They just hated me for no reason too. I never even interacted with them, but one of them claimed that I was being rude to her) and she didn't like my "negativity." I ended up feeling really bad about myself, and she also said, "I don't want to break up with you. Let's just take a break," and I kept asking her if she was sure, and she eventually told me that she was saying that out of pity and that we could "still be friends." She then called me and started telling me some horrible things like "You're unbearable to talk to and your replies are bland" or "This is why no one likes you. You never listen" or "This is your fault. Everything is your fault, and that's how it'll always be" and "This is why you'll never keep a relationship." And then she started mocking me for crying. She then began to cry as well and started breaking down over the call, and I kept reassuring her that it was all my fault even though it was both of our faults. And then I started crying even more again because I really loved her and the fact that she thought all of this about me really hurt me, because before the breakup I'd always ask her if there was any problems in our relationship we needed to fix, and she always used to reassure me that we were fine. We used to talk about our problems together and everything, but she was apparently showing other people those text messages too. She said that she actually did love me and the whole "talking shit" thing started happening a month before the breakup. I hung up on her and then she kept trying to call me back and just texted me, "I'm sorry." We then had a little argument over text and I stopped talking to her for a few hours. She then called me again and texted me saying she would clarify what she meant, so I answered. She then just started to tell me that her online friend told her to apologize because she told them the entire situation. She then just started to show me freaking Hazbin Hotel p0rn saying it was funny and that her and her online friend watch it as a joke. I'm a people-pleaser, so when she kept asking me if I was fine with her showing it to me, I would say something along the lines of, "Yeah, I'm fine. I'm completely unphased by it." And she kept asking me if I could stay up later with her, and it was already like 3AM, but I kept saying "Okay, five more minutes." Eventually, she told me she started getting tired, so we both hung up and went to sleep. Keep in mind that this was a school day and that I wake up at 5:50. She also told everyone about the situation and kept making fun of me when I was having a breakdown in the bathroom, meanwhile she was just laughing with her friends. (this happened before the call. The breakup happened on Friday) And each time I told her I wanted to talk to her and apologize in private, she would say "Why not do it here? You can't be that pathetic, can you? If you really loved me you would do it in public," and then her little friends would just laugh and nod along. God, she was such a bitch bro. We ended up talking after school at some building, and she apparently brought her friends along, so while I was crying and blaming myself, she was smiling and looking behind me at her little friends quietly laughing from behind me. (Again, this is still on Friday. Later on we ended up calling). Back to Monday after the call and breakup, of course I was scared to go to school because everyone hated me and she deleted the texts of her mocking me. The school day went out just fine, but I felt pretty empty. I had no one to look forward to seeing, calling, and talking to every day. I sat alone for a while, then my old friend started sitting with me and sided with me. She was friends with Jordyn too, but she ended up dropping her because Jordyn talked shit about me again in front of her, and they threatened her that if she told anyone, they'd spread rumors about her. (Keep in mind that she's one of the "weird kids" so they'll believe any rumor that goes out about her). More people began to side with me when I told them the real situation. Months later, I'd already moved on, but I looked pathetic, and it really bugged me. I also had some things I wanted to say to her, so I unblocked and texted her because she didn't have me blocked for some reason. I told her stuff like "I've already moved on" and "I know you'll show this to your friends or something, but maybe that'll make me seem like less of the psychotic, suicidal maniac you describe me as" and "I am glad that we both moved on from this chapter of our lives, and I hope you are doing great right now as I am." She ended up saying something like "Yeah, I've moved on too. I've been wanting to say something to you for a while now too, so I'm glad you texted me." And she apologized for everything and said she's not like that anymore. We both had a little laugh about what we used to be like at the time (She was a Hazbin Hotel, BoJack Horseman, Penelope Scott-obsessed maniac that was popular, and I was an Omori, Penelope Scott, Project Sekai-obsessed loser that had no one to talk to but her. We were pretty goofy at the time, I could say), and then we agreed that we wouldn't be friends but we would no longer hate or talk shit about each other. This was like two months ago. Right now, I think I might have a crush on my friend, but I'm not really sure. I'd prefer for both of us to stay as best friends, though, so I'm going to just ignore the crush thing. I'd prefer to stay single, anyway. 😱

I am in the situation. I have a huge-ass crush on my best friend. At first I was going to try to “shove my feelings into a box” because she was aroace, but recently she told me she’s figuring out her sexuality because there are AND I QUOTE “too many good looking women”. So I’m planning on telling her. Especially since the plans she and I have talked about in the past of moving in together seem like they just might be happening. I’m a very anxious person so I plan on telling her in through my art hobby, since it’s a way that will make me feel less anxious.

When I told my best friend I liked her I decided to do it in person but over the last few weeks I'd been developing a letter in the Notes app on my phone and I gave her my phone to read. I actually wanted to tell her nearly everything cause I was also coming out at the same time and there were other things about our friendship I wanted to tell her. I even included brittana quotes from glee cause we're both gleeks! In our conversation after her reading it I joked it was a work of art, I was really proud of my literary composition 😂 So I'm just saying you don't have to just say "I like you" if you don't want to, you can do whatever you want. If you want, make it special! ❤️

Great advice I remember the first time I saw my wife..I was in awe. We were not out...she is and was my best friend. I toke it slow even tho it would hurt I toke my time to announce that I liked her....being with her was enough at the time. I heard see had a crush having the same friends she had told a friend she liked a girl.....my heart sunk. I write music about her and we do theater together and she's so beautiful and funny and amazing. Her boyfriend is the luckiest person in the world. I'm happy that you said you can't change your straight friend. In this position I had always the thought that "what if she likes girls but it is hard for her to admit it even to herself?" And I projected on her my feelings towards girls thinking "how can she not be slightly interested about girls?" The worst thing a friend can do to comfort you is tell you "hmmmm maybe she wants you but can't admit it bc she is internally homophobic?" when she utterly has expressed she is straight. It just gives you hope and keeps you stuck when all the evidence shows you must move forward. And if she is internally homophobic it isn't our job to change her, if she understands it, it will be an internal, personal process as it was for many of us.

This was something suggested to me by one of my friends that if you don't wanna burden the other person w your feelings or if there's a high chance the person doesn't like you back but you still wanna put it out there OR want your feelings to be gone, the best way to approach this would be trying to put some distance b/w you guys and if that person asks you can let them know by saying something along the lines, hey, i feel like i have gotten some feelings for you, i don't realise when it happened, but just this is why i m just gonna put some distance b/w us for a few days because our friendship is priority. This way you're not putting any pressure on them, but also risk to your friendship gets low.

I had a crush on someone out of my friend group once, waited a few months and then impulsively decided after school that i would just tell her. She said she doesn't feel the same and likes me as a friend. I said something along "its alright, i guess i just wanted to tell you that you are an amazing person". After saying this she didn't looked uncomfortable anymore and we just said the usual "see ya next week". going home i felt really relieved to get that of my chest and be able to close that chapter. few years later the friend group still exists and we are getting along great and are also still friends.

from my experience, telling people (ESPECIALLY THEIR FRIENDS) reallyyy helps. i liked a girl in 8th grade, and i ended up kinda telling her friends. they were able to tell me that she also liked me, and i went off of that. also, if her friends let it slip to her, even if she didn’t like you before, it may put the idea in her head, and once she’s thinking about it, she might come to like you as well. or maybe she already likes you, and she’ll end up telling you

In the last year I think I’ve been rejected a bajillion times, and I threw away 2 relationships that were a bad fit, and one situationship. I am honestly so beaten up that I no longer have the courage to ask someone out. It’s like the idea of having to go through that one more time is more than I can bear. I think what makes it worse is when there were clear signals that would be on a top 10 list of “how to know she’s interested” and she tells you that there was never anything there.

so I know how its feels to have a girlfriend and my tip is if you think your not being a good girlfriend to her talk to her about it and see how she feels and maybe it can help u not stressed about it because I used to do that and its may help. good luck getting the girl and hope yall have good day or night :)

I’d say confess your feelings. She either has feelings/isn’t sure about her feelings/ or doesn’t like you back. The fact she said she’d date you if she was gay makes me think there’s a LITTLE bit of feelings there

I met this woman at work about a year ago & I don’t know how to explain it but something pulls me to her. I feel a great connection but it’s not sexual it is more emotional/ intellectual, but I could also definitely kiss her. mmh, I have a bigger problem tbh And idk if ANYONE has lived that too but- When I was 11, I discovered i liked girls. So instead of embracing it and everything i stopped being friend with girls. I was scared that ppl would find out and i felt like i was a "predator" (like girls trusted me with sm and then my gay ass was in love with a girl every month and i tought it was disgusting and weird so i felt like i was a bad person for liking them) So i just stopped talking to girls. I only had boy friends and i was cold with girls. I came out this summer, bc i was finally ready and tired of hiding. (i'm 17 yo atm) But, well... Idk how to talk to ppl now. I'm not really sociable in general and i made my actual friends by talking abt videogames only, and i used to be scared of girls so... not a great combo. I'm friend with 2 straight girls tho that also plays videogames now, but it's bc they were friends of friends yk. I can engage the conversation with boys, but never with girls. I have a crush on this girl in my class, she's always so happy and smiling and I find her very cute and i like to talk to her when we do (well only 3/4 times) but then i always end up by running away.
