I was slow coming around to accept but now have no problem with anyone's life style. You idea to do a Q&A was a great idea because I don't have anyone close enough to ask questions. But I have 1 to ask as a female involving sex. Do you or is there a different between using toys and having a male with the real thing. I hope I worded that ok if I didn't I apologize I do not mean anything negative to you or anyone I just don't have a lot of knowledge on this. Thank you for your post it did answer questions I have and gave me more understanding of the guy community.

About dating, if you like someone, ask them out. They may say "no" or the date might not go well. You can get over that. What's harder to get over is wondering later "I wish I would have asked her..." or "I wonder what would have happened if..." Go for it! Besides, if the date doesn't become a lover, they might become a friend.

Funny story: I'm dating my "ex" best friend (she's my ✨girlfriend✨ now). When i came out to her she reminded me of this one time when we were like eleven. We were walking together, she asked me to hold hands, and i wanted to but then i was like "what if people think we're lesbians?" I knew i was gay before i could even realise i was gay.

What a legacy that you love your childhood friend. I know a straight couple who met in kindergarten and have been best friends ever since. They are still married and are grandparents now. Neither one remembers life before the other, neither one ever dated anyone else or slept with anyone else. Their parents said they had this very peculiar soul-bound existence, and they are very much in love now. Their kids think it is a little weird that their mom was at their dad's 6th birthday party. But they have known about it their whole lives too and accept it. The couple have been in their in-laws lives for over 60 yrs now, and they are under age 70.

“How do you ask someone if they are gay?” Is such a real question. I worked a job as a teenager with other teenagers. Worked with all kinds of people. I was fairly convinced a coworker of mine was likely gay but didn’t want to just come out and ask, it didn’t feel appropriate and we only saw each other at work. So I sort of just filed it away as “I think he’s gay, okay moving on to working”. Well one day, he asks me if I want to go to the movies with him. I’m in work mode so I don’t pick up on a lot of things. I think he just wants to hang out and take our blossoming friendship to a place outside of work. I agree and we set a date and time for over the weekend. After his shift is over I’m hounded by two of my coworkers. “I can’t believe he asked you out.” “I didn’t think he’d actually do that! I thought he wasn’t over his ex.” Me: “Uh… what?? This isn’t a date… we’re just friends.” “He doesn’t think that. He asked you out.” Me: “Is… is he not… gay? Did I read that wrong?” To summarize the ending: Went home and panicked, decided I’d stick to my commitment and go, didn’t let him buy me anything but a ticket, kept my eyes on the screen and my hands in my lap under my legs the entire time so he couldn’t reach for my hand. I also told him beforehand that I’d drive myself to the theater. So yeah… don’t always make assumptions 😂

Hi! Straight viewer here. Why am I here? Tbh it’s because I enjoy your personality and I often find that I am drawn to your content because we both have very different experiences, so I’m always curious to see what it’s like for someone experiencing the opposite attraction. My older sister is gay and she is open to talking about it, but it’s a bit of a taboo thing in our house due to our super religious parents. They aren’t… unaccepting? They just aren’t “woohoo!” About it either, so we don’t really chat about that side of her life when she’s over. So I learn a lot from the internet. My sister and I do text a lot and I have met her girlfriend before and she’s very lovely! :)

a lot of great questions. I would hope that most of straight people subscribed to your channel are here to educate themselves. You're doing a great job at educating people on the LGBTQIA+ community, which is also very important for people who are questioning their sexuality. Also now, as a self-secure pan person, I like to educate myself on experiences from the community, which I don't get to have myself. This is also important to fight against all unnecessary hate within our community.

I’m a straight man, and I’d say there’s more than you’d think who fit into the curious and educating category 😊. I think my Spotify wrapped has told something about me I didn’t clock until now haha. So 4 of my top 5 artists turn out to be gay / queer: The Japanese House, Boygenius, Aurora and Clairo. And what I believe that’s saying is that I tend to connect to songs with the subject matter being falling for women, but from a woman’s perspective rather than a man’s, because with the female songwriters I idolise, their lyrics describe the modern complexities of being attracted to someone, but often without relying on being stereotypically forward as men have known to be in songs when they’re attracted to someone. To me, these queer artists often offer more detailed lyrics on introspection in attraction, and I feel that connects me more to an artist, by understanding them more, which helps me to enjoy a song more than surface level generic lyrics on loving someone.

I had this video in my recommendations and don't know why. But I did enjoy watching it. :-) It only freaked me out that you were using the Discord notification sound whenever a new question came up. The first four or five times I hectially checked Discord, wondering why I didn't see anything. :-D I'm a straight guy in his 50s, always accepting anyone for the person they are. Fun fact about me, I am also a long time gamer, and when it comes to character creation and (if available) romance options, I always play a female who falls for another woman. Not because I have any particular fantasies about lesbians, it's just that it feels "natural" in the fantasy world of a game. It takes concious effort for me to play as a male. I never felt uncomfortable in my body or had a problem with being a guy, I was married and am a dad, trying to pass on this open-mindedness to my son. I have long given up thinking about what that says about me, I now simply enjoy that in those game worlds, the inner lesbian in me seems to have an outlet.

It is encouraging to see how much support and information is available to young queer people today. Your videos are positive, constructive, and fun to watch. I imagine your content is tremendously helpful for so many young women out there. Thumbs up from me.

About the falling for your best friend thing-- I think that subconsciously girls tend to befriend girls whose vibes or looks they appreciate, and especially in (closeted?) lesbian/bi/pan girls, they might sort of just be attracted to a girl that they somewhat like, and therefore become their friend, and as they get to know them more and spend more time with them, they might later realize that they do indeed like their friend.

My brother is gay so I'm totally accepting, more sympathetic to anyone who learns they are LGBQ+.I hope one day we won't need labels or reasons to be afraid. Like my father said to us when my brother came out to our family 'So what, what you do in your bedroom is none of my business, and you're still my son.'

Hi Lauren, great video! I'm a straight cis guy, and I have a couple of questions if you ever do a part 2. 1. How do you react if you find out a straight guy is into you or finds you attractive? Or tries to pick you up? 2. What is it like being in a situation like a women's locker room? I've wondered what it'd be like to be in that kind of situation if I were potentially attracted to the other people there, and it seems like it could be awkward. And, since you asked...I checked out the vid because I thought it might be interesting to get gay peoples' perspectives on straight people, if that makes sense.

I‘m also a straight guy, but I do have a perspective on 2: as someone who enjoys going to the sauna I‘ve been to a few mixed gender locker / changing rooms / showers and at least for me it always felt quite normal. I‘m there for the relaxation and don‘t really think about anything like that. I think it‘s more awkward in thought than it is in reality. Maybe it‘s different for others, but I guess it‘s more about the individual than the orientation. But I‘m curious to hear from someone into the same gender how their experience is like.

I am mostly straight, but I tend to watch more lesbian and couples content on on line not for sexual reasons I just find lesbians more interesting than men. I think it has more to do with my not liking stereotypical make gender things like cars, sport and I am not obsessed with sex, the three thing most of my male friends go on constantly about. Today is my first day seeing any of you videos. (I have watched 6 in the last couple of hours) So I think your subscribe button is in my future.

13:01 / 13:07 - oh, interesting. I've heard GSRM (Gender, Sex, and Relationship Minorities was how I remember having heard it, though wikipedia says Romantic Minorities instead of Relationship Minorities, and also says that «it is SGM ("Sexual and Gender Minority") that has gained the most advancement in the United States since 2014»... I'd not heard GSD before, but also, that's not where I thought you were going to go with this. I thought you were going to say "QUILT BAG" -- which I like just for being so easy to say. :)

KZread algorithm brought me here. Two things about one’s sexuality: 1) it matters. 2) it doesn’t matter at all. For me, both are true. As a kid in the 60’s we had two “brothers” next door on one side, and Mrs Shank on the other. She divorced and in a little while a woman gym teacher moved in. Neither was a big deal. My parents simply told me it is what it is.

I'm a straight guy and one of my dear friends, and actually a colleague at work as well, is a lesbian. We have a great time together and it's very fun to go out with her because with her, I can talk about women the same way I do when I'm with my male friends, and that is fun! :) But also interesting because anyway I found the perspective of a lesbian girl towards other girls is different from the perspective we males have - and it's refreshing! One thing though makes me uncomfortable with lesbians, and it's that I perceive some disdain, if not plain contempt, towards me, just because I'm a man. Now, this does NOT happen with my friend, because like I said, we're dear friends, almost like siblings, but it happens with her female friends. I don't know, for all my life i've always been very open and accepting, I'm far from being homophobic, for me all humans are the same, but I don't feel this sentiment to be reciprocated by lesbians towards me. I understand it may not be easy for them because probably lesbians are used to be discriminated by conformists... but it makes me sad. I'd like to know if you see this happening with your acquaintances as well.

That precisely would have been my question as well. How tight and exclusive is the lesbian community and do they generally resent it if a man tries to be part of the 'club'? Like most things, I'm guessing a lot of it is down to individual attitudes, but there are those few awkward times when I've detected a palpable 'you're not invited' vibe.

My feeling as a straight man in his late 50s who's been friendly with LGBT people, is that to me, the only thing that matters is "is the person kind?". That said, I was in a relationship with a woman for 9 years who might have been bisexual, but the question never came up. I was attracted to her because she was kind, had a weird sense of humor like mine, and we could usually talk easily. I found out later that ahe was hiding things from me and had started to lie, so we split up.

I'm a guy and I'm 100% straight, but I sometimes give out a "gay" vibe, so I've been ask a bit too many times by friends/previous coworkers/etc "Are you gay?" Like, no subtlety or anything, just "Are you gay?", or even ask me "is that your boyfriend?" when I'm hanging out with a guy friend. Sometimes I think it's funny, but sometimes I think it's just out of place, depending on how/when they ask. 😅

  • @ameliab324

Idk how 'bout you, but if someone is a close friend of mine, it means I can ask them anything without any disclaimers at the beginning. Ofc if they're uncomfortable talking about it, they can just tell me too. I just find it a bit weird to tiptoe around asking your close friend about their sexuality. I mean, me and my best friends talked about our sexualities and attitudes to gender a whole lot, maybe it's not that common in other friendships.

I'm a conservative, but I will comment on one thing. Although there are multiple things that hit me, only one seemed like it was beyond a personal choice or belief. That one thing was how a company looks at the LGBTQ+ community. I don't see why it matters what that company thinks of you. That part of your life should not control the work you do. If the company won't hire you because of that part of your life then that is illegal. Go to work and do your jobs, then go home and do whatever you want. Companies need to stay out of personal lives, just pay us for the work we do.
