When I was in the 8th grade I had a crush on this girl, and she really liked Phoebe Bridgers. I didn’t listen to her, but when she asked me if I liked Phoebe I just bullshited my way through the conversation. I went home and listened to an entire album, and came back the next day armed with knowledge. Music became the thing we had in common, and I kept lying about knowing bands and songs lol. I eventually moved on and haven’t seen her in two years, but tbh her music taste still hits hard and I still love Phoebe Bridgers lmao

7:44 fun fact, i had a crush on a friend for a really long time (like 3 years or something?? - it took me two years to realize) and i never let go, never lost intrest and just kept it inside until i finally told some friends about it, they helped me to confess and now we're in a happy relationship of almost four months!! (absolutely not trying to say that what you said is wrong, just wanted to share this xx)

I also did the whole "list of boys i liked" thing and i still have the diary with about 10 names in it 😂

Permission to give a confession? Doesn't matter doing it anyway! So when I was 16 me and my best friend were closer then the lines on the lesbian flag. So of course I had easily developed a crush on her. But I was trying hard to figure out if she was gay or not. (being best friends I probably coulda just asked her) But did I do that nope. So one day when she was singing a song and since she doesn't have the best english I told her that she was singing a song about being gay to like see "hmm does she care?". (the song was like about feminism or some thing) Few days later we were swimming together (swimming is GREAT flirting material BTW) and she started sing 'I kissed a girl' by Katy Perry. I told her "hey you know that's about being lesbian right?". And she's like ya I know. I was freaking out I was like "do I kiss her?", did I?... no... So here's the thing she dressed like a stereotypical lesbian too and I still was like "jeez she's straight". Anyway long story short, I asked my lesbian cousin for advice, asked her out and now were getting married in 6 months! Oh and this was in 2014 so :) Coming out was awkward aswell. My coming out: So I'm a jew and my rabbi's daughter asked me "You gonna marry a jewish guy?" I had the nerve to respond with "what if I want to marry a jewish girl?" My mom heard me and let me tell you that car ride home was AWKWARD! (my soon to be wife is an Israeli-Jew) My fiancée's: We were having a sleep over and at this time in my life my grandma was living with my family. So we were doing ya know what and I guess my grandmother was mad that we were staying up late (she didn't know what we were doing). So she burst in and yelled at us for being awake. And my fiancée yelled back saying "you're mad that we're up? I'm f--king your granddaughter!!! Be mad about that!" Yep breakfast was once again... AWKWARD. Anyway thanks for listening! 😁😁😁

Great content Lauren! I have two close friends: Sabrena, who's straight and Randy, who is gay. I had always been straight. We've all been friends for a long time, but I didn't know that Randy was attracted to me! Randy told Sabrena, and of course, you know how women can be sometimes! Sabrena decided that she was going to get us together, so one night we all went out and ended up back at Randy's place. Sabrena then got a call from her boyfriend and she told us that she had to leave, but she told the two of us to just stay there and watch movies. Well, that was the night that I had my first gay experience, and Randy and I are now a couple. Randy and I would love to do something nice for Sabrena, because if she hadn't decided to play matchmaker, then Randy and I would never have gotten together! Happy New Year!

When I was a kid I asked my mom if girls can marry girls. She said “I mean… technically 🤨” (with that exact face) and I said “oh, I might just do that then because boys are gross and Reagan’s (my bsf at the time) eyes are pretty” she said “oh ok honey 😨😀” (with those faces in that exact order) and I just sat there like “😊”. I had no clue what the word gay even meant let alone lesbian and I already was one. (Technically I’m bi but I guess 6 year old me was gayer than 14 year old me)

In sixth grade I had the biggest crush on this one girl. i told my friends about his and apparently they knew this girl. They made it their mission to get us together, and they told the girl I liked her. This poor girl only knew me from math class and she was so uncomfortable. I was so embarrassed. Now looking back at it I laugh at my embarrassment.

I came out to my mom when i was under the effects of anesthesia like 3-4 months ago. I said, "Mom, I'm bisexual," and showed her my male crush, who's a famous tiktoker. Her initial response was, "He's confusing you because he looks like a girl," and "Are you sure you aren't just saying this to be like him" because I explained that he's also bi. I sent like 8 videos of him, including one with him flexing. A few days later, she asked if I was serious because apparently she thought it was just the drugs talking or something, and I explained to her that i was serious. She supports me byt is against my crush because of the age difference. He's just under 5 years older than me. At the time, I was 18, and he was 22, but now I'm 18, and he's 23.

i just came out to one of my best friends saying "im illegal in 64 countries" and she asked "why" and i told her "bc gay" then she got off the train and i have no idea what she thinks now😅 but i hope she isnt afraid of me🥲 edit: she's supportive😌❤🥹

When I realised as an adult that I liked girls, it suddenly occurred to me that I'd been crushing _hard_ on my best friend who's 13 years older. And as if it wasn't already bad enough, it was so over me once we met irl, I could _not_ stop thinking about her 🤣 The subject came up at one point, and we confessed having feelings for each other. I have a situation to ramble about and who better to tell than a bunch of gay strangers on the internet? There's this girl that I kinda hate and she definitely hates me, but we pretend to be friends because we both benefit (We've never explicitly said it but it's obvious) She gets to look nice because she talks to someone all her friends think is weird, and I get a ride home sometimes and an excuse to stare in the general direction of her really pretty friend. Her friend has a boyfriend, but they've only been dating for like a month and he's moving across the country in like a week and they don't seem all that into each other soo... She also keeps glancing at me very deliberately while talking to her friends about completely separate topics (They're really loud). I know I'm not making up that she looks at me because my friends (who have 0 reason to lie, and also at the time didn't know that I find her extremely pretty) have also mentioned it to me. My friend is trying to get me to talk to her- but I feel like I should probably wait a while after her boyfriend moves away? figure out if they've broken up and wait a bit after that? I don't know, but she's so pretty and nice 😭😭😭

@@trekkie74656_ I would do this- but there isn't exactly a "normal" way I could approach her/ find a way to talk to her. I'm still in school and there is a large social divide between groups. She hangs out with the "popular" group and my friend group is kinda made up of just a bunch of queer outcasts, so it would be odd if I were to suddenly start talking to her. My friend wants me to ask my science teacher, who I'm friends with because I'm neurodivergent and she lets me eat lunch in her room and gives me granola bars, to "randomly assign" groups of two for a project and put me with the girl in a group but that feels wrong just because I'd be getting a teacher involved and also it would feel like plotting some sort of scheme/ keeping a secret from her?? Idk.
