How to Suplex: Instruction & Heavybag Drills

Спорт

Bubba Jenkins teaches the suplex, one of his signature wrestling takedowns. The suplex is a powerful throw where you launch your opponent upside-down by locking your arms around their waist, thrusting your hips, and arching your back. In this video are some drills you can practice safely on a heavy bag.

Mitchell A'Vard yea I wouldn’t suggest doing this to someone on a hard surface, if they die you’re going to prison, even if it’s self defense you might still get man slaughter and get some years, if anyone does a suplex slam make sure you throw them on their side

It can kill the attacker as well. Becuz this was a demo. But in a real street fight, your opponent will be resisting. However good wrestler you are, you will have lots of possibility to do damage to yourself as well. Suplex is a good move in the ring, not on the streets though.

I really like the whole FightTIPS Coaches integration of different sports; PJ for Boxing, Bubba for Wrestling, etc. And I love that instead of two total professionals telling us what to do - Shane is now learning too along with the audience. Gives a better understanding when Shane does something wrong that we understand not to make that same mistake and that we're all learning to improve at a relatively same pace. Really nice improvement to the channel!!

its so easy to forget how to most people, things like this arent basic knowledge. Wrestling wasnt offered in my highschool back in the 80's & 90's, but i went to a neighboring school & im so glad i took the initiative. if you like fighting & your in school still, look into getting on a wrestling team. You'll get so much practice in making weights, sparring, tournaments, etc it is invaluable. Word to the wise, if your a bigger guy, think on the choice to go into wrestling VERY long....ive always been big, & the wrestling team will put you to work, day after day. Running up and down the gym with a little 160lb guy on my back got old REALLY quick :)

Your arms are completely free. Put one arm around his neck, pull tight and shove the fingers of the other hand into his eyes. Also sag lower at the knees, no point in making this easier for him.

It's interesting how the correct suplex actually looks a lot messier than the incorrect one. WWE has me used to a suplex more like the one Shane is doing, or like that girl does in the elevator, not this twisting version. But seeing Shane learn to do it properly, I can really see why the correct version is better. His head coming towards the matt was kind of scary a couple times. What other suplex variants are effective? WWE has so many different ones and obviously they just need to look good, not be combat effective, but I'm just curious what others than this can actually work

I love these videos. I try these out low key in the office on weekends but chipped my mate's tooth last time. We'd just seen the video with all the coaches talking about the khabib fight and how to go into the grapple aiming for the lead leg, My friend did it and I moved my knee by accident as he moved.
