I tried the nya-nya-nya sound and my cat (literally) attacked me twice. And should a baritone or a bass use twang it is at higher pitch than I'm use to? I have a low singing voice but a medium speaking voice

Ahhh Evynne, you have such gifts, both the ability to clearly demonstrate what you mean, and too, for keeping our attention: its never boring to watch your voice lessons, from Disney Princesses to Fran Drescher, willing to make odd faces and strange sounds to get the lesson across [NO FEAR!] with the charming bonus of Ash's little voice now and again piping up in the background.

I'm loving these videos. They're very easy to follow along with (though that might just be the musician in me, I can't speak for everyone else). I started getting discouraged with my singing after I blew my vocal cord and it got infected causing some permanent damage. You started this series right about the time I was cleared to sing again and the videos have been a ton of help. I haven't noticed that much of a change, my dad says he has, but I'm probably just being too hard on myself. Now I just need to work on slowly getting my range back.

honestly, i’m so glad i stumbled upon your video and especially this one! i recently competed in a voice competition where the girl who placed first in my category had a signature song that i believe used this type of placement. she blew me away with how high i thought she was “belting,” but now that i’m thinking about it, she might have been placing it like the way twang is. awesome video! thank you :)

Hi Evynne, I just found you here on youtube, I really find your technique to be solid, healthy and very much in keeping with what I've learned about "belting", "mixing" and classical "legit" sound. I also teach a lot of young teen girls, and these exercises are terrific for them too! The way you speak about healthy technique is very much in keeping with how I like to teach too. Thanks!

This was so helpful! I keep sending these to my own InBox to see it again & again and have it be the most accessible. She is beautiful and an incredible singer! I have struggled vocally with the exact content she has gone over. I watch American Idol & feel so unconfident with my voice hearing all those singers…not a good feeling. Her voice is far more beautiful with perfect technique! Makes me feel like I could learn this, and protect my voice at the same time. How do we know that those American Idol singers are doing their belting in the most protective & safest way for their vocal chords. I found gold today! Thank you, & keep signing; I will aspire to one day being able to do the same.

But I started watching this series on your channel because I'm such a big fan of your singing and I'm finding them immensely useful. It's so nice to know that even after years of singing lessons, I can still learn new exercises and discover new things about how to use my voice. I'm performing Think of Me, for a recital. I only two years ago switched from an alto to a mezzo soprano. I'm also a muscician mostly, so the world of signing is ackward right now when it comes to exercises and warm ups. Thank you for the videos.

Thanks very much for this video. I can see that "Full twang" is not necessarily something a singer would need to use, execpt occassionally, but it's a great way of finding your vocal / singing limits.

Wow this is what I really want!! I can sing in the soprano reaching F or G but I can't really produce that very powerful sound like you. Thanks very much for teaching us!

That was great! I really love these voice lessons, they are so helpful. Can you do a lesson about recording your voice, like how to learn a song or sing along to a backing track? I've come a really long way with my voice since I started watching these, but I feel like I'm missing something. On another note, as much as I love these voice lessons and your music videos, I kinda miss the vlogs with insights into your life, are you planning to bring those back at some point?

Loving this series. I'm trying to implement your techniques for my alone commute singing. Lol It's helpful. I might find the courage to sing with others in the car. :)
