Vibrato comes naturally if you're completely relaxed. Relax your jaw, try to relax your tongue (i know it's difficult, i struggle with it too) and make sure to work on your support! Without your support you end up singing from your throat and unnecessarily creating tension!

I've tried to find and strengthen my mix for almost two years now and I'm starting to think it's just physiologically impossible for me. I can mix and go smoothly through my passaggio only when I sing very quietly and hold back the volume. If I try to use normal singing volume it either just goes extremely breathy or I just can't find it at all and my registers are completely separate. I hope it helps if I start doing this exercise

This was actually really helpful not just for my singing but actually for my speaking voice? I've been complaining for a while that I sound like a child still, despite being an adult now. So I was doing your exercise of feeling for the vibration in my chest while talking normally and realised there was almost none??? I've been talking using mostly head voice! So I spent like half an hour just talking to myself trying to find that chest voice and, honestly, it sounds so much more me and so much less like a five year old girl lol! It's pretty unfamiliar and my chest muscles aren't at all used to be using my chest voice at all so I need to slowly work on establishing it. When I tried to sing with it once I found it (although it was definitely hard to balance in right after spending all my life singing almost exclusively with all the vibration in my head and throat (except for when forcing it really low)) my singing sounded so much better too, finally bringing in the complexity that I'd been frustrated that my singing voice lacked. I'm completely self-taught by feel and observation and comparing what I hear from my own voice to what I hear in the songs I like, and this is the first time I've even come to the internet about any of it, so I had no idea about any of this and it's just really helpful! Thank you so much!

I’m a soprano but I learned to sing as an alto. Now that I’m seeing this video, I’m really glad because that means I have the first step down already. Chest voice isn’t a problem!

I found it so funny that this got recommended to me after watching a video learning registers and all about mixed voice because my Choir master keeps telling me that I sound like a disney princess XD ! I'm a soprano in a gospel choir and I do quite often use my head voice and I need some lower registrer practice !
